Prayer Requests Would you like us to pray for your intentions? Prayer requests can be emailed to Sister Eileen McGrath
at [email protected]. Your requests go directly to the Blessed and Broken Prayer Group and the Our God Reigns
Prayer Group who will pray for your intention. All prayer requests are held in confidence and are known only to the prayer
intercessors.
“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known to God.”
8th Grade and Confirmation Faith Formation for
      20202021
Praying that all our families are well, healthy and
rested after our Covid summer.
Here we are 6 months after Covid has hit and we
are getting ready to enter into a new approach to
Faith Formation. Just as schools are adapting to
social distancing, we at St. CharlesSt. Ann's and
St. Patrick's & St. Brigid's are also working on
ways to keep all students safe in regards to Faith
Formation instruction.
For the past 3 years, we have used an amazing
video based program for Confirmation called Cho-
sen. It is published by Ascension Press and they
have set up an online curriculum and have a
workbook for Chosen. They also have a Middle
School curriculum as well for 8th grade
We will be sending out a new registration and
when we receive all forms back, we will contact
Ascension Press with the names and emails of
those participating. They will send you a link to
officially enroll and we will have workbooks for
you to pick up. All of this will hopefully start in
October. During the year, we will also be sched-
uling speaker sessions that can be streamed
online and watched at your convenience.
If you have a son or daughter that has not been
enrolled here at our parishes and would like to
register for Confirmation or 8th grade, please
email Terri Condon at[email protected]
Praying for you and your families. Together, with
God's graces, we will get through all of this.
"I can do all things through Christ who
      strengthens me" Phil 4:13

Faith Formation grades 1-7
Registration forms have been emailed to all students that were enrolled in the program last year. There will NOT be a fee for the virtual program
this year. Our curriculum will be family based catechesis, twice a month on the St. Patrick and St. Brigid Facebook page. We will have guest
speakers on topics of interest about our wonderful faith. The second grade sacramental program will have a $25.00 fee to cover the cost of
workbooks. There will be once a month in classroom instruction along with once a month virtual class.
Please fill out the registration form and send it back to us asap so we can plan on numbers and keep our records up to date. If you have any
questions regarding this year, please contact the parish office or email at [email protected] or [email protected]
If you did not have a child registered last year and would like to, please contact the parish office.
We will get through this!!! If there are any topics you would like to have covered in our sessions, please let us know!
May their souls and all the souls of the Faithful Departed
through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Church at Mass times or weekdays at St. Ann’s; 4471 Onondaga Blvd.9am-2pm. There is also a drop off point at St. Charles during weekend Mass
times.
We are also in need of school supplies and children’s hats and mittens.
Respect Life
A year after New Jersey’s Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill
Act took effect, Metuchen Bishop James F. Checchio reminded
Catholics in the diocese that it is their shared responsibility to respect
and defend all human life. During the first five months after the law
passed on August 1, 2019, 12 New Jersey residents ended their lives
under the provisions of the law, according to Catholic News Service.
The law allows those with a terminal diagnosis and a life expectancy of
six months or less to seek permission from two
doctors to end their lives with a lethal prescription. In
light of the effort to save lives amid the coronavirus
pandemic, Bishop Checchio noted the inconsistency
with this law. “Young or old, healthy or sick, all human
life is precious,” he said. Amen.
Thank you Father Kevin for bringing in the professionals to finish up
the overwhelming project that is the prayer garden.
Thank you to Sister Eileen for orchestrating and all the wonderful
volunteers that began the process! It looks beautiful.
