The Linen Dream Lab, located in Paris and Milan, features a material library that serves to update linen’s textile and technical diversity, for sourcing by industry professionals ; it promotes the sharing of information and expertise, on all areas of expression of a fibre that has become a lasting marker of sustainable

innovation, comfort, European origin and traceability.

These values are promoted all the way to the final consumer in partnership with retailers for Linen experiences - J’aime le Lin, Amo Il Lino, I love Linen - and supported by 2 certifications: EUROPEAN FLAX®, the guarantee of a premium-quality European flax fibre with zero GMO, zero irrigation, zero waste. This traceability, when each processing step is performed by European companies until yarn and fabric, is certified as MASTERS OF LINEN®. *certified 99,9% by the CELC

EUROPEAN FLAX® and MASTERS OF LINEN® are trademarks registered by the CELC and certifications awarded by independent certification bodies (Bureau Veritas, Centrocot, Centexbel, etc.). They are supported by the composition testing methodology developed by the Bast Fibre Authority, recognized as ISO 20706-1 standard in December 2019. Through the CELC, they participate in the United Nations program “UNECE - Enhancing Transparency and Traceability of Sustainable Value Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector”.

CSR IMPACTS AND INDICATORS: The EUROPEAN FLAX® certified fibre is the basis of CSR and impact studies of the European flax/linen industry: first LCA of the linen shirt 2008 (3), LCA of European Flax® hackled flax fiber in July 2020 (4), etc. A scientific corpus in open innovation, for sharing with reference institutions and platforms including Higg Co and the European Commission (Product Environmental Footprint); and with industry players to inform the end consumer.

THE CERTIFICATIONS OF TRACEABILITY FOR EUROPEAN FLAX/LINEN

6 out of 10 consumers declared themselves ready to pay more for a product with a certified European flax origin (1).
