We are excited to offer THREE raffles this year at the auction! For $15 per ticket, enter to win a GoPro Hero 3+, featuring stunning video quality with high-resolution, high frame rate 1080p60, 960p60 and 720p120 video modes result in professional quality footage and allow for liquid-smooth slow-motion playback. Take it anywhere – underwater, mount on a helmet or bike, use your imagination!

We are also offering a Restaurant Raffle, with 12 Gift Certificates to eat out once a month all year long! Featuring restaurants such as The Cheesecake Fatory, Kentmorr, Bridges, Doc’s Riverside Grille, and more, tickets are $20 each and are also available in advance through the Auction Website.

Finally, we are excited to offer the Golden Ticket Raffle for the first time this year! Each $75 ticket will enter the bidder for a chance to win THEIR choice of ANY of the Live Auction Items! This includes all of the class projects, plus some amazing unique experiences and one-of-a-kind items like an autographed PRS guitar, private catered dinner for 4 at the Kent Manor Inn, ride on a WWII bomber, and more! A maximum of 100 ticets will be sold in advance and the night of the auction. You do not need to be present to win, but you must be available or make your selection in advance.

Thank you to all of those who submitted a yearbook cover design! We are pleased to announce Alex Couture as the winner! Alex will receive a complimentary yearbook! All entries will be featured in the pages

of the yearbook, and submissions are still being accepted. We still need more pictures from events, field trips, and candid shots of the students. Remember that there is a camera you can take on field trips in the office if you would like. The more pictures we have, the more vibrant a memoir can be created!

The upcoming board meetings are Wednesday, March 4, and Wednesday, April 1, at 7 PM in the Safe Harbor Conference room. All are welcome to attend for the Open Session portion of the meeting. Board Minutes can be found on the website.

Our school’s vision and direction is determined by the LCA Board of Directors, which is primarily composed of parent volunteers. As we look ahead to the 2015-2016 school year, we need additional parents to join the Board to keep our school running smoothly. This is a volunteer position consisting mostly of a monthly Board meeting, occasional family interviews, and email and phone communication regarding school matters. Would you consider joining us? For more information, please ask a current Board member (Jodie Gray, Craig Winchester, John Reitman, Todd Williams, Larry Cordrey, DJ Dauses, Eric Berger). You are part of a legacy we are leaving for our children – don’t miss the chance to have your input shape our school’s future!

Mark your calendars for the ICCFS (Institue for Cultural Communicators Forensic Society) Tournament at Annapolis EP March 27-28 for YSG students. We would love for parents and teachers to be community evaluators. This is an excellent opportunity to see what ICC is all about and to give back to the organization. The next PTO meeting is Tuesday, March 2, after school in the Safe Harbor Conference room. We are planning Muffins for Moms (April event) and talking about volunteer needs for the next school year. Consider how you might want to help run the PTO!

Each Friday morning that school is in session, there are a few moms who meet to pray for our teachers, our leadership, our students, and our school’s mission and vision. Won’t you join us? We meet while the students are in Friday

morning devotions, 8:10-8:30 in the church’s conference room. Nothing fancy. Just coming to our God on behalf of our school. He’s doing great things at LCA, and we are seeking His continued will for us!

Did you know that tuition only covers a portion of the expenses at LCA? We are solely funded through our tuition and fundraisers like the Annual Auction. YOU are our ambassadors in the community, so please spread the word, invite your friends to the fundraisers, and tell them about how LCA has made a difference for your child! We have planned an enrollment push for this Winter/Spring, so remember that anyone you refer comes back as a minimum of a $300 tuition credit to your account!
