In producing a text we had to know lexicogrammatical features, it means
that lexicogrammatical features has an important effect to build a text. The writer
saw some students still had less appreciating in using lexicogrammatical features
in a text. One example is X-10 BCS IPA Boarding students of tenth grade when
the students write procedure text.
The objective of research is to find out the lexicogrammatical features in
procedure text written by the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Kudus in academic
year 2013/2014. Therefore, lexicogrammatical features is the important step to
build a text. Meanwhile, the writer conducted the research to analyze
lexicogrammatical features of procedure text that was written by the tenth grade
students of MAN 2 Kudus in academic year 2013/2014.
This research is a qualitative research. This research was conducted at
MAN 2 Kudus in the academic year 2013/2014 especially for X-10 BCS IPA
Boarding. The number of students in the classroom was 32 students that consists
of 11 male students and 21 female students.
The result of this research showed the students of tenth grade of Man 2
Kudus in the academic year 2013/2014 had a good composition in using
lexicogrammatical features of procedure text, because most of them almost used
lexicogrammatical features of procedure text completely. The writer found in the
32 procedure texts written by the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Kudus in
academic year 2013/2014. There were 32 generalized human agents, it can be said
good because all of the students used it, 254 simple present tenses, it can be said
good, because all of the students used it. 183 imperative sentences, it can be said
good, although there were some sentence did not use it, 128 temporal
conjunctions, it can be said good, although there were a few students missing used
it, and 248 material processes, it can be said good, because all of the students used
it.
From the fact, it can be concluded that the writer found generalized
human agents, simple present tenses, imperative sentences, temporal conjunctions,
material processes and and two sentences were started by using Verb-ing in
procedure text of the students of tenth grade of MAN 2 Kudus in academic year
2013/2014. However, most of students used lexicogrammatical features and a few
of the students did not use completely. In addition, it is suggested for further
researcher to do this research in other genre or different ways to analyze the text.

Menghasilkan teks kita harus mengetahui ciri-ciri kebahasaan, itu berarti
bahwa ciri-ciri kebahasaan memiliki efek penting untuk membangun sebuah teks.
Penulis melihat beberapa siswa masih kurang memperhatikan didalam
penggunaan ciri-ciri kebahasaan didalam teks. Salah satu contoh siswa kelas X-10
BCS IPA Boarding ketika siswa menulis teks prosedur.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ciri-ciri kebahasaan
dalam teks prosedur yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kudus pada tahun
akademik 2013/2014. Oleh karena itu, ciri-ciri kebahasaan adalah langkah
penting untuk membangun senuah teks. Sementara itu, penulis melakukan
penelitian untuk menganalisis ciri-ciri kebahasaan teks prosedur yang ditulis oleh
siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kudus pada tahun akademik 2013/2014.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di
MAN 2 Kudus pada tahun akademik 2013/2014 terutama untuk X-10 BCS IPA
Boarding. Jumlah siswa di kelas adalah 32 siswa yang terdiri dari 11 siswa laki-
laki dan 21 siswa perempuan.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kudus pada
tahun akademik 2013/2014 memiliki komposisi yang baik dalam menggunakan
ciri-ciri kebahasaan teks prosedur, karena kebanyakan dari mereka hampir selalu
menggunakan ciri-ciri kebahasaan dari teks prosedur sepenuhnya. Penulis
menemukan dalam 32 teks prosedur yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas X MAN 2
Kudus pada tahun akademik 2013/2014. Ada 32 generalized human agents, dapat
dikatakan baik karena semua siswa menggunakannya, 254 simple present tenses,
dapat dikatakan baik, karena semua siswa menggunakannya. 183 imperative
sentences, dapat dikatakan baik, meskipun ada beberapa kalimat tidak
menggunakannya, 128 temporal conjunctions, dapat dikatakan baik, meskipun ada
beberapa siswa lupa menggunakannya, dan 248 material processes, dapat
dikatakan baik, karena semua siswa menggunakannya.
Dari fakta tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penulis menemukan
generalized human agents, simple present tenses, imperative sentences, temporal
conjunctions, material processes dan 2 kalimat yang diawali dengan Verb-ing
dalam teks prosedur siswa kelas X MAN 2 Kudus pada tahun akademik
2013/2014. Bagaimanapun, sebagian besar siswa menggunakan ciri-ciri
kebahasaan dan sedikit siswa tidak menggunakan sepenuhnya. Selain itu,

disarankan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan penelitian ini dalam teks
lainnya atau cara yang berbeda untuk menganalisis teks.
