• State and local governments work together to run schools, police departments, libraries, and parks
• State governments are divided into 3 different branches just like the national government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial

government.• Legislative:– This branch makes the state laws and
handles the state money.• Judicial:– This branch is made up of a supreme court
and lower courts.
