YOUTH SUMMER TRIP REPORT SUN-DAY AUGUST 27TH
Join us August 27th for a special ser-
vice where the youth and leaders will share about “World Changers – Limitless” I always think each year that there is no way last year’s experiences can be topped and-BAM!-God blows me away with things I couldn’t even imagine!! I can honestly say I believe the lives of these missionaries and the people they served have been changed from these trips… God rocked our world and faith to the core with many calls for salvation, re-commitment, confession, re-focus and much more… You would have been proud of the ones who went to represent Christ… They have a great testimony for how Christ is at work at Ephesus Baptist Church!! Come hear how these experiences have changed so many lives!!
YOUTH SUMMER CELEBRATION SUN-
DAY AUGUST 27TH
Youth and World Changers remember
to plan on joining us after the service for a pool party to welcome our newest members to the youth family and celebrate a great sum-mer!!! (see fleegle for more info)… Hope to see you there!

Dear Church Family,
My father, Bob Templin, served in the US Navy on the troop transport ship, USS Rushmore, right after the Korean War. He loved to tell sto-ries of his adventures and travels, visiting cities around the world made possible through his service. Istanbul, Turkey was his favorite. Someday I want to go there, too. Although he did not experience combat, he was familiar with this order that came over the ship’s loudspeakers: “NOW HEAR THIS—ALL HANDS ON DECK!” That meant all personnel on board were to muster on deck immediately. There could be a fire, a sailor overboard, a col-lision with another vessel, or any number of other emergencies. Or, it could be because an admiral or other dignitary was arriving on board. All hands on deck in the church is the Lord of the church’s call for every able-bodied person to make themselves present and available for service. As we move into the last five months of 2017, the call is going out—all hands on deck...
For Vacation Bible School this month!
For new deacons, Sunday School teach-ers, and ministry team (committee) members to begin serving in Septem-ber!
For Trunk or Treat in October!
For the 31st Annual Drive-Thru Living Nativ-
ity in December! And all the people said, “Aye aye, Sir!” Or, “I will!”

We are now going each week to help in Goldsboro. The van leaves the church campus at 7:00 am, stops along the way at Bojangles, and returns that evening, time depending on a supper stop. For more infor-mation contact John Bentley at 919-280-6159 or Bill King 919-358-5211. This is a wonderful opportunity to join in Kingdom work as we seek to be witnesses for Christ in our Judea (Acts 1:8).
Living Nativity
Just a reminder....our Ephesus Living Nativity is scheduled for December 15,16,17. Team lead-ers are already under way recruiting characters to participate in the event. Each of the seven scenes has a recruiter.....please consider com-mitting to participating if you are asked by a scene recruiter. We have a rehearsal scheduled on December 7, at which time a video will be made for advertising purposes. We have live animals committed for the event and are negoti-ating to have live animals at the rehearsal to be included in the video. This event is an outreach and we will be inviting anyone who would like, to participate. In addition to your participa-tion, we solicit your financial support. If you feel led to contribute, please do so in a church enve-lope and mark "living nativity" on the front.
—The LN committee thanks you...!!

Sewer Connection Fund Update: To date we have collected $15,026 for payment of the work to connect to the City of Raleigh sewer system. Our thanks go out to Derward Baker for overseeing this project. We anticipate the final amount to be ~$83,000 which is being loaned by an individual and is to be repaid in annual installments beginning on 3/1/2018 at a generous 2.5% interest rate. Therefore, our annual payment could be as much as $18,000 per year. Please continue to give to the building fund so that we may repay the loan in accordance with our note.
This book deals unflinchingly with life’s most troubling question-the awesome “Why?” Drawing on his long experience as a Christian psy-chologist and family counselor, Dr. Dobson brings hope to those who have almost given up.
