Underground Railroad Conference TROY – The renowned Tenth Annual Underground Railroad History Proj-

ect of the Capital Region (URHPCR) will be held at Russell Sage College

in Troy, April 8-10. This year’s conference titled “Slavery in the Atlantic

World: the ‘Underground Railroad’ in the Americas, Africa, and Europe”,

is a collaboration between URHPCR, Inc., Russell Sage College, and The

Rensselaer County Historical Society. The conference will attract hundreds

of teachers, students, scholars and the general public to presentations, talks,

art, and music exploring the history and signifi cance of the Underground

Railroad. The conference will begin with a day-long Teachers Workshop on
