head to the gym to get into shape for the coming

lunchroom leads Mr. Wright to skip the read-aloudand go directly to the lesson. Except the lesson has

disappeared. Threatened with no summer vacation

unless they find the word endings, the kids hang

Reassured of the students good intentions, the

suffixes leave clues for them to decode and thus find

Between 1915 and 1930, more than a million African

Americans left their homes in the South and moved to th

North, says Greenfield in an introduction to this stirring

collection of poems that honors those who took part in th

Great Migration, including the poet herself. Each spread

looks at a different stage in the journey.

This film follows Soren, a young owl enthralled by his

fathers epic stories of the Guardians of Ga Hoole, amythic band of winged warriors who fought a great

battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones.

While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, hisolder brother, Kludd, scoffs at the notion but his

jealousy causes him and his s ister to fall from their

treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure

Ones. Now, it is up to Soren to make a daring escapewith the help of other brave young owls. Together they

soar across the sea and through the mist to find the

Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians - Sorensonly hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the

    owl kingdoms.

Everyones favorite pic-a-nic basket-stealing bear comes to the big screen.Jellystone Park has been losing business,

so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it

down and sell the land. That meansfamilies will no longer be able toexperience the natural beauty of the

outdoors and, even worse, Yogi and BooBoo will be tossed out of the only home

theyve ever known. Faced with hisbiggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove

that he really is smarter than theaverage bear as he and Boo Boo join

forces with their old nemesis Ranger

Smith to find a way to save JellystonePark from closing forever.

On March 25, 1911, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City burst into

flames. The factory was crowded. The doors were locked to ensure workers stay

inside. One hundred forty-six peoplemostly womenperished.

But the story of the fire is not the story of one accidental moment in time. It is a story

of immigration and hard work to make it in a new country, as Italians and Jews and

others traveled to America to find a better life. It is the story of poor working

conditions and greedy bosses, as garment workers discovered the endless sacrificesrequired to make ends meet.
