2013 Club Vision Facilitator Training

When:  Saturday 20 April 2013

Time: 9:00 – 3:30 (Lunch and refreshments provided)

Where:  Jerrabomberra Primary School, Coachwood Ave, Jerrabomberra NSW.

Inviting all those interested in being part of this innovative program (Existing facilitators

wishing to retain are also welcome to register.…

What?: This is a training event to enable participants to deliver this program to Rotary

clubs. Club Vision Facilitators receive a Club Visioning Facilitator Training Manual

containing all necessary material, and learn how to deliver this unique program.

Why?: …Club Visioning is about ideas; identity; and where club members want to be. It is

about being the best we can be…… Club Visioning Facilitators are central to this process

Why do we train our facilitators? Vision facilitators are trained by RI qualified Club

Vision trainers. Club Visioning is not the same as commercial strategic planning, but is

designed for, and recognises the qualities and uniqueness of Rotary.

Club Vision Facilitators receive detailed Club Vision training manuals, and learn how to

assist clubs on the day, and also provide visioning specific tools and templates to clubs for

capturing information.

Vision facilitators are there to guide the process and extract information, NOT to tell clubs

what they must do. Facilitators enable all members to have a say in the future direction of

their club; to develop a shared view to guide actions; and to develop a foundation upon

which to build long and short term plans.

Cost: $100 per trainee.

Registration: If you would like to be part of the Club Visioning facilitation team, please go

to D9710 website andregister by Monday 15 April 2013.

Numbers are limited to 30, and invitations have also been extended to other Districts who

have asked for training.

So don’t miss out! Register Now!

For more information – and if you require home hosting…

Supporting Defence personnel on Anzac Day

In the lead-up to Anzac Day, Australians are encouraged to show their support for Australian Defence Forcemembers, particularly those deployed on overseas operations.

The most effective way to show support is to send an email message to the troops

at [email protected]. These messages are widely circulated and much appreciated byDefence members.

The ADF also encourages the public to consider making a lasting contribution to personnel who havedeployed, and their families, by donating to the RSL, Legacy or Soldier On.

The RSL Australian Forces Overseas Fund prepares care packages that are dispatched twice each year toDefence, Australian Federal Police and other Government Agency personnel deployed on operations. Thesecare packs contain various non-perishable items, a letter of appreciation on behalf of all Australians, andRSL Membership contact details. Importantly, these packs are professionally prepared and meet all Defenceand host nation transport and import requirements. Donations to the RSL Australian Forces Overseas Fund

can be made at http://www.rsl.org.au/Support-Us. Donations over $2 are tax deductible, and everydonation is individually acknowledged by the RSL.

For members of the public wishing to send parcels to deployed personnel for Anzac Day 2013, theAustralian Forces Post Office box address below will be open until 12 April.

An Australian Defence Member

AFPO 60

Australian Defence Force NSW 2890

Please note Defence cannot accept care packages for Military Working Dogs or Explosive Detection Dogs

due to strict care requirements relating to both their diet and their training programs.

To ensure that all items are able to be delivered to our deployed forces, donors are asked to ensure thatpackages are of non-perishable goods. Previous experience has shown that items that are not robustlypackaged can break open during transit, which can lead to infestation and spoilage of perishable goods.Defence cannot send perished or infested items overseas.

All items must be submitted to an Australia Post outlet by the cut-off date of 12 April, and meet therequirements and restrictions detailed on the Defence website at:
