The Jordan Energy Chapter EDAMA, local chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers in Jordan, held its first meeting on Monday January 28, 2016. Three distinguished speakers delivered presentations about clean technology and the impact of energy efficiency and renewable energy in reducing the GHG. The meeting was attended by around 20 members. The meeting was coordinated by Board member Eng Nisreen Alhussein, and attendance certificates were sent out to the attendees.

The Jordan Energy Chapter EDAMA, local chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers in Jordan, held

its first meeting on Monday January 28, 2016. Three distinguished speakers delivered presentations

about clean technology and the impact of energy efficiency and renewable energy in reducing the GHG.

Jordan Completes the 9th Certified Energy Manager ® CEM® #9 training Course and Exam

Jan 17-21, 2016

The Jordan Energy Chapter EDAMA completed the 9th CEM® course and exam during the period

between 17th and 21st January 2016. Twenty five engineers attended the course from the private and

public sectors. Eng Tariq Obeido, CEM®, REP™, CMVP, CBCP, and Eng Jalal Khasawneh, CEM®, REP™

were the trainers. The USAID ESCB program supported 9 attendees from the public sector. Most of the

attendees had the opportunity to pick up the course material ahead of time and study for the course.

Certificates of attendance were distributed during the last day and were handed over to the attendees

by the trainers. A press release about the course was published in the local newspaper.

This is the 16th AEE course that the Jordan Energy Chapter EDAMA completes since the start of the

Chapter in 2010. This brings the total number of trained people up to 500.

23 Jordanian Engineers complete the 10th course of CEM® Training

The 10th Certified Energy Manager® training course was held between Feb 14-18, 2016, and the exam was completed on Feb 18th, 2016 at the Jordan Chamber of Industry in Amman, Jordan. Dr Ismail AlHinti, CEM® and Dr Ahmad Ghandoor, CEM® were the trainers of the course. It is worth mentioning that this is the fourth time that they give the training course in Jordan. The participants came mainly from the industrial sector, in addition to Contractors, Hotels and Students. The Jordan Energy Chapter Board Members Nisreen Hussein, CEM® supported the course by being an observer during the four hour exam period and Nadine Katkhuda, REP® the training manager of the AEE Jordan Energy Chapter provided the necessary support during the course. Students now have the necessary knowledge to support their businesses and future opportunities in the Energy Sector by taking and passing the CEM® course and exam.

6th Renewable Energy Professional Training Course and Exam completed

The Jordan Energy Chapter EDAMA completed successfully the 4 day training course and exam between March 20-23, 2016. The course was attended by 17 people from the private and public sectors. Eng Fadi Marji CEM®, REP® and Eng Ghassan Naji CEM®, CRM®, REP® delivered the course. Eng Amjad Alkam CEM®, AEE Certification Director and Eng Nisreen Hussein CEM® Board member proctored the exam.

And attendance certificates were distributed on the course participants before the start of the course by the trainers and two board members Eng Suhair Al Mhairat and Eng Nisreen Hussein.

Magic Team AEEJU continue to outperform Synergistic Support of GCREEDER 2016

The Association of Energy Engineers Student Chapter at University of Jordan continuous to outperform

their pervious successes in managing great events. This time, AEEJU supported the GCREECER 2016

conference that was held in Amman Jordan between April 04 – 06, 2016. The conference was attended

by hundreds of people from private, public, academia and visitors from all over the world.

Dream team AEE JU student chapter were at each session, supported the conference tours, and were

the friendliest hosts for our international guest speakers and attendees. One hand and one mind during

these three days of activities the student social media groups actively worked on promoting the event.

The collective intelligence, dedication, passion, and team spirit of this AEE Student Chapter is fueling

their chapter with clean renewable efforts into high performance in addition to strong trends on twitter

for many hours.

Jordan Completes the 11th Certified Energy Manager ® CEM® Training Course

The Association of Energy Engineers local chapter in Jordan, The Jordan Energy Chapter EDAMA

competed the 11th CEM® Training course in Amman Jordan between April 10- 14th, 2016. Twenty eight

engineers took the course during this period. Engineers were from different sectors including the

industrial, service, and the private sector. Dr Ismael Alhinti, CEM®, CMVP® and Dr Ahmad Ghandoor,

CEM® delivered the five day course. The course was administered by the Jordan Energy Chapter Board.
