ABOUT THE PROGRAM

FLDP provides a training curriculum and work experience with exposure to different business environments within Johnson & Johnson (the Consumer, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Devices and Diagnostics segments, and Corporate Finance and Auditing).

Participants are expected to complete all components of the program, and some participants may be promoted to senior financial analysts at the end of the program. After program completion, participants return to their original hiring company.

ROTATIONS

Participants complete two rotations in just under 12 months at different Johnson & Johnson companies at different locations within the United States. Assignments cover financial disciplines such as operations accounting, financial reporting, sales and marketing finance, internal audit, and R&D finance.

TRAINING AND COACHING

Participants have six weeks of classroom and e-learning activities. The curriculum focuses on core leadership and business competencies, technical skills, process excellence, value creation, and economics of the health care industry.

Participants receive coaching from personal mentors, program leaders, and program champions at each company. Immediate supervisors provide on-the-job coaching and performance feedback.

Participants are strongly encouraged to pursue professional certifications. Support and funding for training materials and preparatory

classes can be provided. CPA candidates may satisfy experience requirements through the Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Participants who gain a CPA or CMA certification during the program are eligible for a one-time five percent bonus.

QUALITIES WE SEEK IN FLDP CANDIDATES

We seek recent university graduates with degrees in accounting, finance, or economics and a GPA of 3.0 or better. Candidates need to be motivated, high-potential performers who can influence and lead others in a team-oriented environment. They should have an aptitude to apply accounting/finance skills in job situations, strong interpersonal capabilities, and a commitment to excellence and integrity.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

Participants can master technical and strategic skills as they work on cross-functional teams in various businesses and disciplines. They can establish a broad base of knowledge and relationships, including time with senior management.

In addition to developing valuable leadership skills, FLDP participants may build a solid record of job performance, gain a very broad view of our companies, and discover opportunities across businesses and functions.
