The JCSS Calibration Service of Vacuum Field

JCSS is the accreditation symbol of Japan Calibration Service System under the Measurement Law. Standard and calibration laboratory of Component Div. in ULVAC Inc. is accredited by JCSS and authorized through the internationally-accepted MRAs. JCSS 0258 denotes an accreditation number of our laboratory.

1. What is JCSS (Japan Calibration Service System) ?

Accreditation of the technical quality of testing and calibration laboratoriesJCSS is an accreditation system of the competence of testing and calibration laboratory to the ISO/IEC 17025. NITE/IA Japan (National Institute of Technology and Evaluation/ International Accreditation Japan) inspect the management system, the technical skill and the traceability of calibration standards of calibration laboratories.Our standard and calibration laboratory is registered as a JCSS-MRA calibration laboratory in vacuum field. Technical skill of calibration for our laboratory is confirmed by the National Institute.

2. What is ISO/IEC 17025 ?

International requirement of testing and calibration laboratory (management system and technical skill)

This regulation is an International Standard of general requirements of the competence of the testing and calibration laboratory. This standard require; 1) administration of management system, 2) competence of technical skill of the calibration laboratory. Only the ISO/IEC 17025 competent laboratory can issue traceable calibration certificate.

3. MRA (Mutual Recognition Arrangement)

Border-less reliability of the calibration resultsAs IA Japan signed ILAC and APLAC MRA (Mutual Recognition Arrangement), JCSS is authorized as internationally acceptable system. JCSS-calibration certificate is available around the countries and region of the ILAC and APLAC members. (ILAC: Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation, APLAC: Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation)Our standard and calibration laboratory is accredited as MRA laboratory by IA Japan.

4. What is JCSS mark? What is JCSS calibration certificate ?

Clear indication of the traceability to the National StandardOnly the accredited calibration laboratory can issue JCSS calibration certificate in a registered range and category. The JCSS mark clearly shows the traceability of the calibration results to the National Standard. Getting the JCSS calibration certificate is the easiest way to get the traceability to the National and International Standard.
