TEAM APS MEMBERS: SHRAVAN PALSOKAR XI D, SHAURYA SHARMA, XI F The Mirchi Young Master Minds 2020 Inter School Quiz was held at CT Institute Shahbad Campus on 31 January,

2020. 96 teams from reputed schools of Punjab participated in this State Level contest. After beating their competitors

in the multiple Preliminary Rounds, our Champion Quizzers Shravan Palsokar and Shaurya Sharma made it to the

Final Round. In a very close run, they emerged First Runners Up carrying home gift hampers and prize money of Rs

51,000/- They also earned themselves an interview on Radio Mirchi where they talked about their interests and

hobbies, their inspiration for taking up quizzing and their preparation strategies. Both of them being top scholars as

well, they shared tips with listeners on how to maintain a healthy balance and pursue their co-curricular interests

alongside academics, successfully.

CAREER GUIDANCE FACILITATORS FELICITATED

12 FEBRUARY 2020 A workshop on 'Career Guidance Facilitators' was organised by Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering.

Jalandhar on 12 Feb 2020. Teachers from various prominent schools of Jalandhar participated. The workshop included

special talks, lectures, activities and discussions. Teachers nominated by the respective school Principals were

felicitated for their contribution in the education sector. Ms Deepali S Minhas PGT English, Ms Misha S PGT Biology,

Ms Harprit Kaur PGT Economics, from APS Jalandhar were felicitated in recognition of their contribution as educators.

In order to bid a fondest adieu to class XII students at

Army Public School, Jalandhar, ‘La Revedere The

Farewell Party’ was organised on 10 February 2020.

Beautiful belles and handsome lads donning the best of

attires sashayed down the ramp oozing immeasurable

confidence and zeal. The beautifully done up venue

complemented the mood and vibe of the jubilant

occasion.

An entertainment programme prepared by the hosts, class

XI, had delectable performances of singing and dancing.

The hilarious games round saw the participation of eager

students trying to out do each other to be the winners.

The most anticipated and awaited moment was the

declaration of Miss and Master APS Jalandhar. The

coveted titles were taken home by Amrita Senghera and

Ankit Kumar Singh respectively. The titles of Miss and

Master Popular were claimed by Guneet Kaur and Shahil

Ali. The title-holders were felicitated by the Principal, Dr

Saksham Singh, Vice-Principal Ms Mandeep Talwar and

Head Mistress Ms Shallu Sharma. In her address, Dr

Saksham Singh gave the students her blessings and

exhorted them to forever remember the teachings of their

parents and mentors on their journey of life. She

reiterated that the school is committed to doing its best for

the students to help them achieve great

accomplishments.

CBSE WORKSHOP ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

11 FEBRUARY 2020 TO 13 FEBRUARY 2020

Niharika and Ankit Kumar from class VIII attended the said

workshop at Cambridge International School for Girls,

Jalandhar. In collaboration with Intel ,the CBSE had taken

this initiative to acquaint students with the basics of

Artificial Intelligence and create their interest in the field as

AI is being introduced as part of the curriculum for class

IX.
