Ergonomics is branch of science or discipline which human and machine properties examine harmony each other. This Word as meaning is ancient greek and means ergos-business and nomo- science .

1.Ergonomics In Our Lives

The ergonomics, there’s in every area of daily lives. For example; in public transport, scissors, screwdriver, desks etc. But top of ergonomics development followed in vehicles. In vehicles steering Wheel was large , seats could only move back and forth in the past. But now in vehicles the most important points are “How are people comfortable ?” and “ How people use the car more efficiently?” As another example ; the elavators are adjusted according to human lenght. To sum up : The ergonomics ,there’s in every area of lives.

2.Ergonomics In Working Lives

A work place should be arranged according to person to get more qualificated and efficient results and for worker’s comfort . For instance; it is important to use keyboard with right angles. If it is use wrongly, it is seen carpall tunnel sendrom.

Adapting environment according to people called ergonomics. Bosch created ergonomics chart for ergonomic improvements in 1970s and in 1990s it is started to do ergonomic works. One of the most important things for Bosch is appropriateness to 90% percentage.

In the past this height was 102 cm. Nowadays the height according to people is fixed. If this height isn’t paid attention, suitable body position isn’t seen.

It should be determined that employees work by sitting or by standing according to blue card. Working height should be under the heart level. The best working shape is alternate.
