QEP Impact Report
“The Committee also reviewed the institution’s QEP Impact Report and
found it to be unacceptable. The institution is requested to submit an
additional report, due ___________, demonstrating the extent to which
the QEP has affected outcomes related to student learning. The following
are direct comments from the readers:
Although the institution began implementation of the approved QEP,
revisions were made to make implementation more manageable and
develop “specific performance indicators, evaluation procedures and
outcomes assessment” which were not present in the approved plan. In
2009, a new QEP Steering Committee was established, and a new process
was implemented, to select a new topic, focusing on writing. Provide
documentation of the process used to generate the new topic and
describe the activities implemented and assessments conducted.”
The institution…
Adequately documented the implementation of its Plan
regardless of the changes needed throughout its delivery.
Summarized the level of success in achieving the desired
impact on student and/or the environment supporting
student learning.
Reflected upon the implementation of the QEP as a
learning experience for the institution.
ACCEPT WITH COMMENT:
NO ADDITIONAL REPORT REQUIRED!
The Committee may also indicate whether if finds that an institution’s QEP was particularly strong in areas such as:
1. The significance and impact on student learning and/or the environment supporting student learning.
2. The outstanding support of the institution’s administrative leadership, faculty, and students throughout its implementation.
3. The strength of assessment design.
4. Any other elements of excellence.

QEP Impact Report The Committee also reviewed the institution’s QEP Impact Report. The
report was accepted with the following comments:
The institution carefully documented the implementation of its QEP and
provided excellent documentation of student learning outcomes and
completion rates with careful attention to distance education as
compared to traditional on-campus delivery. The data indicated steady
progress and commitment to the goals of the QEP. The highly focused
approach appeared very beneficial. The institution provided outstanding
analysis of data, display of results, and evidence of use of results. Item
analysis of departmental and use of results could be considered an
example of best practice. It was apparent that faculty members were
willing to examine actual results, identify deficiencies, and make
improvements.
