Get clear plastic bags from Quadra Community Centre; pick up roadside litter in your neighbourhood, and deposit bags on West Rd or Heriot Bay Rd and VIKEN Waste Disposal will pick them up. Thanks Viken! Let’s do something positive for our island environment.

MAY DAY DANCE at the Community Centre (May 26 from 7 to 10 pm). Arrive at Q.C.C. by 7 pm to catch the premier of local budding musicians and their band The Whole Sh’bang as they open for Go Dog Go. This May Day Dance is a non-alcohol event open to all ages. Dance to Ska beats with The Whole Sh’bang and rock out with the retro rock sounds of Go Dog Go. Let’s bring May Day dances back with a Sh’BANG!
LADIES AUXILIARY of the Quadra Legion wishes to thank everyone who donated plants and baking that helped to make our sale a success. Special thanks to Deb Manery for her donations of plants, time and expertise (our go-to person). Thanks to Lois Norman who donated the pot of garden tools which was won by Hanna Lewandowski; Lynda Van Der Minne won the Rhododendron. The Easter basket was won by Ed Jordan.
PUBLIC NOTICE – Woodlot Licence 025 intends to harvest timber on the east side of Heriot Bay Road between Smith Road and the golf course, immediately adjacent to Heriot Bay Road. This stand is infected with root rot. Trees from this area have been dying and falling for many years, causing power outages and blocking the road. Harvesting will take place this spring.
