DATES TO REMEMBER 6/23 - District 7470 Banner Exchange Dinner 6/27 - Rockaway Rotary 2011-12 Officer Installation Dinner 7/7 - Rockaway Rotary 5K Race SPEAKERS/PROGRAMS 6/20 - Kyung Pak - Korean Culture 6/27 - Rockaway Rotary 2011-12 Officer Installation Dinner 7/18 - Raquel Phillips, NJNG, Energy Efficiency 2011 ROCKAWAY ROTARY SCHOLARSHIPS At this past Monday’s meeting, President Bill Pojedinec and Janice Christensen, Scholarship Committee Chair presented three Rockaway seniors with a Rotary memento in recognition of their receiving this year’s Rockaway Rotary Scholarships. Our scholarship winners were Katie Collazo (Vocational Scholarship) from Morris County Vocational-Technical High School, Kelsey Wade (Frederick and Ruth James Memorial Scholarship) from Morris Knolls High School, and Siobhan Scully (Alfred G. Scott Memorial Scholarship) from Morris Hills High School. Each student received a $1000 scholarship towards their college edu- cation. Congratulations to these outstanding seniors! ROCKAWAY BOROUGH CLEAN COMMUNITIES PROJECT This past Saturday morning, members of the Rockaway Rotary Club “cleaned- up” around Park Lake & Lakeside Drive in Rockaway Borough. This project was organized by PP Sheila and for their efforts, the club will receive monies from the Clean Communities Grant Program for use for our various service projects. OFFICER & BOARD OF DIRECTORS INSTALLATION DINNER Next Monday, June 27 th we will have our annual installation dinner for our club’s of- ficers for 2011-2012. The induction ceremony and dinner will be held at The Ex- change, East Main Street in Rockaway Borough beginning at 6:00 PM. The cost of the dinner is $35 per person and you can sign-up at a club meeting or contact PP Sheila at [email protected]. There will be no lunch meeting next week. Come to the dinner to thank our outgoing leaders and show your continued support for the incoming officers. Download registration form on our website. ROTARY @ WORK
