NHU®PPAresinsbridgethecost/performancegapbetweenthehigh-volume,moderateperfor-manceengineeringresins,suchasthermoplasticpolyestersandnylons,andthelow-volume,high-costspecialtythermoplastics,suchaspolyetheretherketone(PEEK).

Comparedtotypicalnylons,NHU®PPAresinhashigherthermalcapabilitiesandisstronger,stifferandlesssensitivetomoisture.Itretainsitsexcellentmechanicalproperties(includingfatigueandcreepresistance)overabroadtemperaturerangeinhumidandchemicallyaggressiveenvironments.NHU®PPAoutperformstypicalNylonsanddeliverslong-lifeperformancethatincludes:

PPA

NHU®polyphenylenesulfide(PPS)isasemi-crystallinehighperformancethermoplasticwithanexcellentbalanceofproperties.Itisstiff,strong,hard,tough,andhasoutstandingchemicalandoxidativeresistance.Itretainsthesepropertiesattemperatureswellabove200°C,i.e.,itscontinuousservicetemperatureextendsto

240°C.Itabsorbslittlemoistureandisbothdimensionallystableandinherentlyflameretardant.Italsohasexcellentelectricalproperties,ishighlyimpermeabletomostliquidsandgases,hasminimalcreep,evenatelevatedtemperatures,andflowswellinmoldingtofilllong,thinandcomplexparts.
