• ThecablepassesthroughthecabledriveandcontactsadrivingpulleywithaV-shapedgroove.Tractionforlifting,loweringandhorizontalmovementofloadsisobtainedviafrictionalresistance,thegrooveandthehaulingcable.
• Thecabletensioningsystemwithcapstanidlerguaranteessafeandslip-freestartingandbrakingwiththeoccuringpeakloads.
• Theunloadedendofthecablethatleavesthetractionhoistcan be accumulated if required.
• Inconventionaldrumhoists,thetractionistransferredfromtherotatingdrumtothecable.
