THANK GOD FOR THE MOON!

Our Moon has helped to make conditions on Earth habitable for intelligent

life.

The Moon’s gravity stabilized Earth's axial tilt to 23.5 degrees creating

four seasons and favorable climate over long timescales.

The Moon’s gravitational forces helped to slow down Earth’s rotation

from a 6 hour day to the present 24 hour day.

A 6 hour day would change Earth’s rotation speed at the equator from

the current 1000 mph to 4000 mph. This would cause violent,

destructive storms detrimental to the formation of early plant &

animal life forms.

The Moon’s gravity causes modest ocean tides which churn the

oceans and move nutrients around to enhance sea life.
