It all started in Gary, Indianain the late '70s

Vicky was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, where good food was as common as a sunny day. She always loved the kitchen, had sharp culinary skills, and a passion for feeding people’s soul.

Vicky Cakes Pancake & Waffle Mix is the brain child of good food and family vibes. Nearly 40 years ago, Vicky created this recipe out of necessity for her children, and as a single mom of four, she was forced to do whatever she could to “make it work”. So, she used simple ingredients that were already in the pantry to cook up pancake perfection.

Christian is an ambitious stay-at-home wife, mother, and entrepreneur. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of Vicky Cakes Pancake and Waffle Mix, which rocketed into the world on Mother’s Day, as her gift to her mother Vicky. The company is based on a nearly-40-year-old buttermilk pancake recipe that her mother created; and it has been a long-standing staple in her family tradition.

Christian majored in Psychology, as she has a love for human behavior and studying how the mind works. Before she became a full-time stay-at-home mom she was delivering the headlines in her very own way as a national radio show host.

She has since reinvented herself and became "The Pancake Boss", setting her sights on making Vicky Cakes the #1 pancake and waffle mix company in the world and America’s Best Pancake & Waffle Mix. Soon Vicky Cakes will be sold in thousands of retail locations and have hundreds of food service wholesale accounts. And, this charge is led by a fearless woman–Christian Sargent.

Vicky Cakes is proudly dairy-free, which means we do not have powdered milk in our bag, unlike the other brands.

You may be thinking: what's so wrong with powdered milk? Well...

Powdered milk is created through a long, complicated manufacturing process that evaporates all moisture from fresh milk, and eventually you end up with a dry powder substance.

Powdered milk doesn't taste the same as fresh milk. Which would you rather cook your kids' pancakes with: dry, manufactured milk that once sat in metal tanks then on a grocery story shelf, OR real, fresh, cold milk straight from your fridge? Yeah, us too.
