Shree of Gujarat, has blessed us with a new Gurukul namely Gurukul Jyotisar, which is located on the

outskirts of Kurukshetra far from the madding crowd of bustling city life. The Gurukul Jyotisar is

committed to hone the multifaceted personality of the students by blending the best of east and west. The

Gurukul Education System is working earnestly to make the students accountable for self, society, nature

and nation with logical & enriching ancient values.

THE CAMPUS The serene and sprawling campus of The Gurukul Jyotisar is spread over 20 acres. The fragrance of The Gurukul Jyotisar is best known for its eco-friendly nature. The tiny plants and aromatic flowers around the school building and vast playground throw light on the intrinsic sentiments of The Gurukul Jyotisar towards mother earth. CLASSROOMS The Gurukul Jyotisar is poised to offer a congenial classroom atmosphere to bring excellence in every sphere of education. The standard classroom size and teacher-taught ratio make it an ideal place for teaching learning process. The soothing & sublime environment of the classrooms fosters an urge to unleash the innate talent. The students feel comfortable in the airy, spacious and well ventilated classrooms & take keen interest focusing on the content in audio-video mode. Smart class education makes the concept easier and interesting to understand. HOSTEL The campus is home to 1000 students. All the facilities & amenities have made it the most sought after school. The inspiring & congenial atmosphere of the hostel encourages the hostel inmates to cultivate the skills such as leadership, sense of responsibility, devotion to duty, intrapersonal relationship and respect to others. The insects free hostel rooms are well lit, well ventilated & air-conditioned. All the rooms are well furnished with adequate number of beds and almirahs. There are number of hygienic washrooms & potable water points attached to every floor in the hostel. LABS & LIBRARY In order to cater to the needs of the students, an intellectually stimulating infrastructure with beautifully designed labs to hone scientific temperament and critical thinking has been established. The practical usage of chemistry, physics & bio labs make the students science friendly.

SAFETY & SECURITY Safety & security of the students is given the utmost priority in The Gurukul Jyotisar. The entire campus of The Gurukul is watched through the array of CCTV cameras. The security men will keep vigil in the hostel throughout the night. The CCTV cameras are well maintained and functional. SPORTS Sports play an integral part in making our health sound. It bestows creativity, develops dashing personality & cultivates leadership traits. The Gurukul Jyotisar has the proud privilege to have a vast playground studded with many courts and particular ground for particular game. The basic ethos of our sports culture is to imbibe the indomitable spirit & never say die attitude among the students who are encouraged to display humility in victory & cheerfulness in defeat. There is a separate zone/block for cooking the food. General sanitation and personal hygiene is given the utmost priority. In order to diagnose the ailing students, The Gurukul Jyotisar has a medical room with number of beds and a particular isolation ward comprising beds for the students who suffer from contagious diseases. The professionally qualified doctors provide medical services round the clock.

1. It is a matter of immense pleasure for the parents to know that a new Gurukul,

namely The Gurukul Jyotisar is being established in Kurukshetra this year by Gurukul

Management Committee. Admissions will be granted from 5th Class to 9th Class. The

parents can visit the Gurukul Jyotisar from 1st January 2020 onwards.

2. The Common Entrance Examination for both the Gurukuls, namely The Gurukul

Nilokheri and The Gurukul Jyotisar will be conducted on Sunday, 9th Feb. 2020 in the

campus of The Gurukul Nilokheri. 50% Seats for The Gurukul Jyotisar will be filled

through the Entrance of The Gurukul Nilokheri.

3. Reporting time in The Gurukul Nilokheri for Entrance Test on 9th Feb. 2020 is 8 : 30 A.M.

4. Black & white or coloured Admit Card will be required at the time of Entrance Test.

5. Result will be declared on the same day by 9 : 00 P.M.

6. Counseling for Selected Students will be conducted from 10th Feb 2020 to 15th Feb

2020 (9 : 00 A.M. to 2 : 00 P.M) in The Gurukul Nilokheri.

7. The seat of your child will be reserved after passing the counseling & depositing

20,000/ rupees. Otherwise, the seat will be granted to others.

General Instructions & Information :

1. Parents/Guardians will be bound by the school rules in all respects. These may be modified from time to time. In all matters of dispute, the decision of the Principal/Director will be binding on the Parents/Guardians. 2. The Parents/Guardians will authorise the Principal/Director and through him the staff of the school, to take relevant decisions on their behalf while they are in the school or on tours, trekking, expeditions, camps etc. 3. In accordance with the rules of the school, the Parents/Guardians will accept and authorise participation of their wards in compulsory programmes of tours, trekking, expeditions, camps etc. during their stay at the school. 4. The Parents/Guardians will not hold the school responsible for indemnification against any claims arising due to illness, accident or any other cause. 5. All school property must be taken care of and any damage caused by a student will be made good by the parents concerned. In addition, a fine will be imposed for the offence. 6. The Parents/Guardians will authorise the Principal/Director to take necessary action on their behalf in case of any emergency operation or any other such condition where their permission is needed but cannot be obtained in time. 7. Smoking, use of alcoholic drinks or drugs, leaving school or station without permission are strictly prohibited. Students involved in any such activities will be expelled from the school. 8. Once TC is given, the student concerned will collect all his belongings before leaving the school campus. The school will not be held responsible for his leftover articles. 9. The Principal/Director is fully empowered to remove a student from school & hostel, if in his opinion, the student has failed to abide by the discipline of the school and his continued presence is detrimental to the interest of the other students of the school or the student fails to come up to the minimum academic standard prescribed for his class. 10. All parents will have to sign an agreement with the school at the time when their wards join the school. 11. All the students should converse only in English inside the campus to enhance their skill and fluency in the language. 12. Wanton damage to school property, disfiguring of walls and indecent language or behaviour are punishable offence. 13. Any student found to have taken other students' belongings will be punished or even suspended from the school. 14. Students are responsible for the safety of their belongings. While every effort is made by the school authorities to reduce the loss of such articles, the ultimate responsibility rests with the students themselves. 15. Fighting among the students is strictly prohibited. Groupism will lead to the suspension/expulsion of the concerned students. 16. A student indulging in unfair means in examination will be awarded zero in that subject& will be expelled from the school.

17. Eatables brought from outside will not be permitted to be taken to the hostel, under any circumstances. 18. Permission to go home is granted by Director/Principal only. Students must inform the Housemaster after taking permission and before leaving the campus. On return they must report to the Housemaster. 19. Visits by unauthorised persons are not allowed. Persons authorised by the guardians are permitted to meet the boarders on prescribed days only. 20. Books, magazines and periodicals not approved by the Director/Principal should not be brought to the school. 21. The cases that justify the removal of a boarder by the school authorities are-

a) Offences involving honesty and morality b) Grave and habitual insubordination c) Non-payment of fees d) Very poor academic performance 22. The school being purely residential, a student dismissed from hostel stands dismissed from the school and vice versa. 23. Students should not keep any money, gold ornaments, electronic items etc. School will not be responsible for the loss of such articles. 24. All the belongings of the boarder should be distinctly marked by his scholar number and the school will not be held responsible for the loss of any such belongings. 25.Bullying/teasing in any form is strictly prohibited. PARENTS /GUARDIANS' VISITS 1 The Guardians of newly admitted boys are permitted to visit them only after the expiry of 6 weeks. 2. Parents /Guardians/ Local Guardians are permitted to visit their wards only on prescribed days. They will meet their wards in the main building only. A parent can take his/her ward out of the campus after getting out-pass on the condition that the ward reports back on the same day by 4.00 P.M. 3. Parents/Guardians/Local Guardians are not permitted to visit their wards during school hours. 4. The Parents/Guardians are not permitted to visit the hostels except at the time of admitting their ward.. 5. Parents/Guardians may meet the Principal/Director on prescribed days or with prior permission on any working day between 9 am to 12 pm individually to discuss any matter pertaining to their wards or in general.

BOARDING FEE STRUCTURE

ONE TIME at the time of Admission (Discount 5000) 1,67,000

** D.F.E. amount caters to expenses such as purchase of books & stationery, toiletries, outings,

pocket money, special medical help, executing special requirements and acquiring special skills like Sports

etc. A minimum balance of Rs. 10,000/- must be maintained.

If for any reason, the cheque is not cleared on presentation, a penalty of Rs. 2000/- (Bank Charges) plus

Rs. 100/- per day fine will be charged for the delayed payment till 30th of the due month. Any delay beyond

two months may lead to the name of the student being struck off the rolls and thereafter re-admission fee

will be charged to continue study in the school. Re-admission shall be subject to availability of seats and

payment of arrears along with re-admission fee.

Payment of non-cleared cheques shall be made through Demand Draft/Cash Only.

In case of withdrawal, 30 days notice is required & subject to clearance of all dues. Fees once paid is not

refundable under any circumstances.
