When: Sunday the 7th of March , Arrive at 10:30am to start at 11am
Where: Northbridge Oval
What: Your chance to play with faces you may or may not know at the Bears!
The concept is simple, you are paired up with a player generally from another grade to bat two overs and bowl two overs. As in tennis the winner moves onto the next round. There are 9 friendly bears in the field that may wish to catch a catch or in some cases drop it! it’s a great social day, as long as Dugong keeps his pants on! The overall winners on the day are presented the 'Ken Giffin Trophy' on the presentation night at the end of the year. If you are going to play can you email '[email protected]' so that we can work out the numbers for food and drinks.

Grade C Grade, Round 12 against Centrals at O H Reid
Result North Sydney Leagues LOST FIRST INNINGS (ONE DAY) Innings 1 of Centrals 0/63 ()
Innings 1 of North Sydney Leagues 10/60 ()
Player Points:
Fielding Points: Not much to say, if it wasn't for Swanny's cameo we may have been knocking on the door of a club record. Ads got the 100th
duck I am sure. Private celebrations were held by every other player in the club at this milestone (or more likely the fact that
they did not reach it themselves) (Editor: nope, he got #101)
A very slow oval, a reasonable start, followed by a capitulation. Centrals then proceeded to take down the 60 with ease. The
biggest crowd I have seen at a C grade game. It's a shame we could not put on a better show.
Cheers,
Ed
Match Reports
Grade C 1 Day, Round 15 against Cammeray at Tunks 3 (2nd synthetic pitch)

Grade C 1 Day, Round 18 against Wanderers at Tunks 4 (3rd synthetic pitch)
Result North Sydney Leagues WON FIRST INNINGS Innings 1 of North Sydney Leagues 10/203 (60 M Kenny, 25 S Dey, 24 N Barrett)
Innings 1 of Wanderers 10/24 (5/9 S Dey, 3/11 A Carmichael, 2/4 L Kitchen)
Player Points:
Fielding Points: Hat Trick! And here is the report about the devastating bowling spell:
Sujit "Sparkles" Dey ripped through the Wanderers Line-up on Saturday taking a wicket with his 4th Ball (Bowled). Following a 1
run second over and a comparative blowout in over number 3 (8 runs no wickets) - his 4th Over was Dot Ball, Dot Ball, Wicket
(Caught), Dot Ball, Wicket (Bowled), Wicket (Top Edge Caught). Being 7 for 14 the captain thought it was time to share the love
with some of the other bowlers - almost robbing Sparkles of his chance at Glory. After being reminded of the Hat trick
opportunity - Sparkles got his chance and made it Count - by Bowling the next batsmen for Wicket Number 8. All Up 5 overs, 3
Maidens, 5 wickets for 9 runs. Devastating. Honourable mention to Andrew "Freddy" Carmichael who had a Hat trick Chance of
his own in his first over and produced a very difficult ball to play which the batsmen just managed to keep out.
Editor: Another stat from GK, c1-day bowled the opposition out for the lowest score ever against the bears - 24
And that wraps up the season for A1 and C1-Day.
