Wellness Tip:

Laugh everyday! Laughing is a great

way to reduce stress.

RUMOR MILL: We heard a rumor that there is a first year student out there who recently got a DUI. If it is true and you know who this person is; please encourage him or her to come see me right away! When he/she responds that com-ing to see me is the last thing they want to do, please read him/her the following: A. Student Service’s goal is not to further punish this person but to help him navigate his way through the mess that he/she just created for themselves. B. This person is going to have to pass a Moral Character determination by the state bar association in order to practice law. Evidence of a possible substance abuse problem could cause the bar to delay or deny approval. He/she needs to under-stand the process. C. If this person had any other incidents that were substance - abuse related – and then had another incident as a graduate law student - the individual will need to start taking action immediately to show the bar association that he/she has taken steps toward rehabilitation and recovery and we can explain how. D. And lastly and most importantly, this person might need help and we would like to provide assistance and support!
