•Who is wise and understanding

among you? Let him show by

good conduct that his works are

done in the meekness

(gentleness) of wisdom.

Wisdom Blockers •We must recognize the problems that

ungodly thinking makes: James 3:14-16

•Envy and Self-seeking… James 1:20

•Produces boasting and lying against the

Truth… 2 Cor. 10:12; 1 Cor. 13:4-5

•Their origin is earthly, sensual and

demonic. 1 Jn. 2:15-17; 1 Tim. 3:6

•Avoid these because envy and self-

seeking brings confusion and every evil

thing!

Godly Wisdom Enabler’s James 3:17

•Is first Pure. It must be ran through the filter

of God’s pure truth, unmixed with evil.

•Then peaceable. It aims for peace.

•Gentle. Exercises a controlled gentle spirit.

•Willing to yield. open to reason ESV.

•Full of mercy (kindness) and good fruits.

Shows goodness and help to others.

•Without Partiality. Being nonjudgmental

•Without Hypocrisy. Having unfeigned sincerity

•The God kind of wisdom is shown by a

righteous life guided by a gentle and properly

controlled spirit.
