Radio Maria was born as a parish radio in 1983 in the diocese of Milan, Italy. Its purpose was to keep parishioners informed and to help them through prayer, the daily Mass and the Rosary. Radio Maria began broadcasting from its first English-speaking station on May 25, 2000 in Alexandria, LA

The Glories of MaryThis month we celebrate two

of the Glorious Mysteries: the As-sumption and the Queenship of Mary.

As Mother of God and Our Mother, She is taken up to Heaven body and soul by virtue of Her Im-maculate Conception and Her Ma-ternal relationship with the Son of God.

As Queen of heaven and earth, She is crowned by virtue of Her life which was lived perfectly and fully in the Kingdom of God’s Will which Her son inaugurated by His life, death and resurrection.

We at Radio Maria never want WR�EH�ODFNLQJ�LQ�HLWKHU�WKH�¿OLDO�ORYH��nor in the humble devotion to so no-ble and glorious a Queen. All the saints and doctors of the Church assure us that we cannot pay her too much honor as many fear.

And yet all of her honor and glo-ries derive not from Herself but from the fullness of grace which She re-ceived as pure gift from God. That is why she is also the “Mother of Mercy”. With a Mother’s heart and love, She shares with her children what is given to her.

As a means of furthering Her Evangelical Mission called Radio Maria, we invite You to participate in the drawing this year which is a way to honor her Queenship and also to contribute to this great world-wide Mission of Hers. Please help us to help Her by donating generously in

“Dear children, I, the mother of all of you gathered here and the mother of the entire world, am blessing you with a moth-erly blessing and call you to set out on the way of humility. That way leads to the coming to know the love of my Son. My Son is almighty, He is in everything. If you, my children, do not become cognizant of this, then darkness/blindness rule in your soul. Only humility can heal you.

My children, I always lived hum-bly, courageously and in hope. I knew, I became cognizant that God is in us and we are in God. I am asking the same of you. Kyle Rodriguez has a unique take on his new position as the promotions coordinator for Radio Maria’s Southern region.

“As a marketing person with over 30 years’ experience, you DOZD\V� VWULYH� WR� ¿QG� WKH� SHUIHFW�thing to market. Found it in Radio Maria!” he said. “Everyone loves our Holy Mother, and who can say no to your Mother?”

Kyle’s primary task is to re-mind those who listen – and those who have never listened - just how important the station and its

programs are, in their everyday routine – 24/7. Kyle was intro-duced to Radio Maria by his sis-ter, Jan Bordelon in 2010. When the opportunity arose to help pro-mote the station, he jumped at the chance to market six stations in the Southern region. His du-ties include meeting with volun-teers at each of the six stations, coordinating Radio Maria events, meeting with local priests to in-form them of station updates and changes, and reaching out to po-tential listeners of all ages.
