INTRODUCTION :

The Globe Theatre was a theater in London associated with William Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 by Shakespeare's playing company, the Lord Chamberlains Men, and was destroyed by fire on 29 June 1613. A second Globe Theatre was built on the same site by June 1614 and closed in 1642.

Finance: They had a 10% finance from William Shakespeare.

Construction: The Globe was built in 1599 near the Thames with the wood from "The Theatre" which had been dismantled

Play : Shakespeare played Julius Caesar, Hamlet, Henry V or Macbeth in this theatre.

Competition : Theatres like The Rose, The Swan and The Fortune competed with The Globe.

History : In 1613 the theatre was burnt down, after being reconstructed it was closed by Puritans in 1642. It was reopened again in 2002.
