The Gladrags LegacyChapter 7- Circle of Life

Hey! This is the 7th Chapter of the Gladrags legacy, and the start of a new generation! Unfortunately because of my awful counting I called the last chapter, chapter 5, when there had already been one. Oops. Also, I have lost some of the photos, so I’ve had to repeat some of the birth shots etc and there are sometimes no gaps between when a child is born and when it grows up. Oops again. Ah well. This is the chapter I love doing, where there’s no complicated plots to do. They’ll start again next chapter, but for now sit back and enjoy the ride! This generation’s theme is... The Lion King! YAY! This is one of my favourites, so I think I’m going to enjoy this generation! I hope you do to!

Caractacus and Dunstan’s romance was blossoming, and they both began to fall in love...

“...Caractacus?” Dunstan said nervously. Caractacus turned. “Yes?”“I... I think I love you.” Caractacus was stunned. He had found his true love... As cheesy as it sounded. He had a learnt a lot about supposed true love in college, and knew that this wasn’t destined to happen. He’d just gotten lucky.“I love you too!”

And so they decided to move in together. Awww, they’re so CUTE!

A month later and they were still very much in love. Liesl and Teppic being the wonderful people they are, welcomed Dunstan into the family. “I don’t mind who you love dear, provided they give me grandchildren!” Liesl said. That was subtle.“But it’s true!”*ahem* “C, will you come with me for a sec?”“Sure.” said Caractacus, desperate to get away from his mother. Dunstan took him upstairs. “What was it you wanted to ask me?”“... C, I don’t want to make some cheesy speech about how much I love you, but I... Will you marry me, C?”A million thoughts passed through his head at once. “OMGYESOFCOURSEIWILLIT’SSOSPARKLEH!”Awwwwww.

And so the big day arrived. They had the traditional Gladrags wedding next to the lake, and invited their closest friends to watch them get married.

Hardly any of which were wearing formal clothes.Apologies for the awful clothing, I forgot to change all the clothes from college wear. The only two dressed appropriately are Amaya and Georg.

Awwwwwww! Dunstan and Caractacus are officially the cutest couple I have ever had! And so, Dunstan became the latest heir spouse.

And with a new heir spouse comes and heir spouse cat! This is Tigger, a cat who I’m hoping will liven up the genetics of the cats slightly. He’s cute and clever and-

-DESTROYING MY WASHING BASKETS! TIGGER!“Oh come on, it’s not like you were using them for anything.”THEY WERE DECORATIVE!

So, now you’re a newly wed, what are you going to do? Follow Caractacus everywhere? Write love poetry? Buy curtains?“Nope. I’m gonna get myself preggers!”*ahem*... Why do I even bother with romance?

A few nights later, the couple had dinner with Jeremy and Amaya. “So how’s Truly now?”“She’s getting better... She’s met a nice guy, and they’re getting serious.”“Fancy her moving to Strangetown. I didn’t think it’d be her sort of place.”“She needs something different. She’s not going to get better overnight. She left straight after your wedding.”“Speaking of weddings, when are you two tying the knot?”Jeremy laughed. “We’re not rushing into anything. We don’t mind a long engagement.”“You never did tell me how Jeremy proposed to you Amaya-” Dunstan stopped mid sentence, seeing Caractacus gesture at him and mouth “Don’t get her started!” at him. But it was too late.“ITWASSOMAGICAL!” She cried! “LIKEAFAIRYTALE!”“Uh oh...” Jeremy said.

“Well, Jeremy invited me on a date. Going to see a movie, you know, the usual. But he said he had a surprise waiting, and blindfolded me. When he undid it, I was sitting under a weeping willow tree, next to a rock pool. He said, Amaya, I don’t want to spend a single moment apart from you. Will you marry me?”

“And with dignity and grace I said yes.”

“OMGOFCOURSEIWILLIT’SSOSPARKLEH!”

*I included this a) because I love these two so much, b) I wanted to have a flash back (hence background) and c) Amaya’s face when he proposed was amazing.

So Dunstan is indeed preggers with the first child of the generation.

And Audrey and Tigger quickly got to work on kittens.

“Awwww, you’re so cute Tigger! Who’s a good boy then, who’s a good boy then?”“Sims disgust me. I mean, he hasn’t even noticed that his husband’s upstairs giving birth to his first child. Go look at that instead. Go look. It’s far more interesting than this.”

Dunstan was indeed giving birth. Luckily Caractacus realised and rushed upstairs just before the child was born...

ZazuA girl! She’s named after Zazu, a Red billed Hornbill who is adviser to Mufasa. She has Dunstan’s eyes but Caractacus’ s skin tone.

With all the celebrations and partying that night, Dunstan and Caractacus had gotten a little carried away. So the next afternoon, Caractacus awoke from his nap and got a little surprise. Baby #2 is on the way.

Teppic was being a great grandfather to little Zazu already. I’ve always known he’d turn out well.

Due to the lack of anything interesting happening between the birth and now, and my loss of photographs, it’s time for a triple birthday. First up is Zazu.

I say this about all the children, but isn’t she adorable! She’s got Dunstan’s slightly rotated eyes, and I think they suit her.

Next up were the new grandparents. Doesn’t Teppic look snazzy in his new outfit? (Yes, I said snazzy. I’ve started using old lady words like trim as well now. It’s disturbing : S)

Liesl hair has changed! I don’t know why I didn’t download it in grey too, but no matter.

Teppic is taking his duty as grandpa very seriously.“And Jill came...”“Tumbwling aftwer!”“Well done Zazu! You’re such a quick learner!”

“STAY BACK!!! HISSSS!”What’s happening?“Audrey’s giving birth, and if that guy comes any nearer I’ll go for the ankles.”YAY! Kittens! Let’s see what we’ve got!

This little fella is Humphrey, after Humphrey Bogart. Most famous for his role in Casablanca, he was an American actor and cultural icon.

This is Liz, after Liz Taylor. Her acting skills, beauty and hollywood lifestyle have made her a legend, and has been married 8 times to 7 different men.

This is Norma, named after Marilyn Monroe’s original name. Her comedic ability and tragic death at 36 have immortalised her, and was rated the 6th greatest star of all time by AFI.

Awww, synchronised aging is so cute. Fred and Gytha are now officially elders.

And synchronised taking out the trash is even cuter! Though a tad disturbing... Liesl, please put some clothes on...

YAY! Baby #2!

ShenziAnother girl! She’s named after Shenzi, the leader of a trio of spotted hyenas who are the henchmen of Scar. The inverse of her sister Zazu, she has Caractacus’s eyes and Dunstan’s skin tone.

Zazu seems to be an extremely talented little girl. She certainly skills faster than anyone else I’ve ever had.

But still finds time to bite things.

FRED GLADRAGS... YOUR TIME HAS COME...“Ah nuts...”WHAT... DON’T YOU LIKE IT? SOME OF MY OTHER CLIENTS SAID I SHOULD BE MORE PROFESIONAL, YOU KNOW.“No, I like the friendly approach.”FASCINATING. MAYBE I SHOULD SEND OUT A SURVEY...

And straight afterwards...QUESTION SIX. WHAT PARTICULAR BRAND OF CAT NIP WOULD YOU LIKE? REGULAR, ECONOMY OR DELUXE?“Ah to hell with it, Deluxe please. You can’t take it with you, eh?INDEED... QUESTION SEVEN...“Ugh...”

Birthday time!

She grew up smustling! WOW!Isn’t she perdy?

But, shortly after Zazu grew up, it was time to say goodbye to another set of heirs. I DO HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME ON THE OTHER SIDE.“Cheers!”

Teppic wasn’t so enthusiastic.“Now? Really?”YES. SORRY.“Couldn’t you just-”I DO NOT MEDDLE IN SIM AFFAIRS. I’M ONLY DOING MY JOB, TEPPIC.“Awww, okay.”

It’s time for Shenzi to grow up!

SQUEE! SHE’S ADORABLE!

“Vroom, Vroom, VROOM!”“HISSSSSS THE NOISES! STOP THE NOISES!”She’s only having a little fun, Tigger!“I have the hangover of a century. PLEASE stop playing with the damn car!”

But she was soon back studying.

The pictures of the other stages of birth were completely lost somehow. So Caractacus was pregnant, and now he’s giving birth, just FYI.

SimbaThe first boy of the generation! He’s named after Simba, the protagonist in the story, who flees his kingdom in shame after his father is murdered by his uncle, Scar.

Zazu has become interested in painting now too. What you painting dear?“My bedroom! With everything neatly put into place... Ahh...”... Riiiight.

“Bath time Shenzi!”“YAYY! Shenzi love bubbles! Pop Pop Pop! Splash Splash Splash!”Yes, she speaks in third person. It’s cute. : )

“Mmmm, cheeseburgers...”Tigger has taken to sleeping a lot recently.“You woke me up!” Oh, I’m sorry Tigger. “You should be! ARGH! I’ll go take out my anger on Rumo.” He wandered over to Rumo’s corner, and was surprised to see another bird with him.“Rumo, who’s this?”...“Your wife?! Enchanté, my dear. You never mentioned her before.”“Charmed.” said the little blue bird.“KWAA?! You can talk?”“Yes. My name is Cecilia Pennington.”“Nice to meet you.”“I’m off to buy some organic eggs. You boys have a nice chat.” She left. “Organic eggs? For birds? Is that not a bit sick?”

...“Ahh. So they don’t really lay them, it’s a cover...”...“She seemed perfectly nice to me.”...“Really? She must drive you mad!”...“I’m going to give her a piece of my mind! Guys have to stick together!”...“Yeah!”

“I’m back darling!” Cecilia said. Rumo had gone. “Where’s Rumo Tigger?”“He’s gone out.”“I wish he’d told me.”“HE’S HAD ENOUGH OF YOU! You emasculate him! You make him feel like dirt!”“I-”“There you go again, nagging!”

“You don’t know about his bit on the side, do you?”There was a stunned silence. “What are you talking about?”“He’s cheating on me! He has been for years! I know who it is too, this little harlot of a red bird.”“... You don’t have any proof.”“Yes I do! But I’m not brave enough to confront him... I don’t suppose...”“What?”

“Could you help me catch him in the act?”“What, with her?”“Yes!”“... I don’t know... Rumo’s my scratching toy... That’s a bond.”“Please, you’re my only chance...”Tigger thought. “OK. But only because I know Steven’s ghost will come back to haunt me if I don’t. He hates cheaters.”

“Woop! I got promoted!” YAY! And on a double birthday too!

So Simba became...

A toddler with a leather jacket?! What?!

Shenzi is due to grow up too.“Shenzi blow out candles! Shenzi blow out candles!”

Awwww, Shenzi’s become even more adorable.

“Muffin, Muffin, Muffins, lots of lovely Muffins.”

“Perfect! I’d make more but Shenzi wants a go.”

“Shenzi cooks well.”Sure.

What’s wrong Simba?“A) My outfit is tewwuble. Look at et! HOWWID! B) My woom is full of GIWLS FINGS.”No it’s not!

... Maybe a little.

“It’s howwuble!”

“I love you Norma!” “BACK FOUL BEAST! HISSSSSSSSS”“What’s that, you love me too? Awww!”“Ugh.”

JACKIE! YOU STAY AWAY FROM ZAZU AND HER PERFECT MUFFINS! Yeah, I killed her. She was the one who gave Truly such bad self esteem, damn it! LOADS OF THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF SHE’D JUST BEEN A BIT NICER DAMN IT!

You may be able to tell that this is a repeated picture of Simba’s birth. I say again, I lost a lot of pictures, so this will have to do.

TimonThe last child of this generation is a girl! She’s named after Timon, a meerkat who takes in Simba together with his friend Pumbaa.

“Daddy! Daddy! I got an A+ Report!”“Well done sweetie! Do you want to apply for private school?”“Yeah definately!”

“Mr Funderwhack! So nice of you to join us for dinner!”“Indeed.”“I hope you can find a place for Zazu at your school.”“As do I. She is a delightful child.” “Wait here one moment whilst I prepare the starter.”

“Uh Oh.”Luckily for Zazu, there was some trouble outside.

Mr Funderwhack had frozen outside. Once he had put out the fire, Caractacus attempted to move him, but to no avail. “Caractacus!”“GRANDMA?!”“Let him go!”“I’m not doing this on purpose!”Mr Funderwhack misinterpreted the ghost’s appearance as an ominous warning to him to let Zazu into his school.

So through the threat of permanent freezing and being haunted by ghosts, Zazu got into private school.

“Shenzi, what are you doing wearing a uniform? You don’t go to private school.”“Shenzi looks cute!”“... Yes Shenzi, you look very cute, but-”“YAYYYY!!!” She jumped up and down in the air.*sigh*

“Shenzi going to be the cutest girl in the world! YAY YAY YAY!”

Shenzi brought home a friend from school. I like this one, she did this as soon as she got out the school bus. She’s a keeper.

But unfortunately the magical freeze area struck again.“Sophie? Are you okay?”Don’t worry, she was okay after a couple of hours.

Awwww. I love it when this happens.“It’s the end of the chapter. Why are you still here?”Well, we haven’t had the end page thing yet.

“Yeah! Get off our property!” Why so grumpy Liesl?“I’m old! I’m allowed! Now get out before I make you!”You and what army?

Well done for standing up to Jackie. I salute you. It’s been a so-so couple of weeks for me, but I’ll survive. Easter soon, YAY!My latest discovery is a deviant artist called Slinkers.
