The Battalion Support Maintenance Platoon (BSMP)from 1-41 F .A. provided a Systems Component Test Station (SCTS) for display. Ateach display, posters, membe .rs of the bri·gade, and members of the 649th Bn we reon hand to explain to the visitors what eachitem did and to answer any of their ques ·tions . The language barrier was overoomewith the use of prepared Gennan languagepres entations by the demonstrators andthe he lp of those who spoke both Englishand Gennan .

    KLEINGARTA CH - Major General Edward Me yer, Deputy Chief o Staff for Op,eratlons , United States Anny, Europe(USAREUR) toured the 3rd Battalion , IJ(thField Anillery's field site here recently.

    The general received a VIP briefing onthe struct ure and mission of a Pershlnami ssile ba talion from J.M Commander,Lieutenant Colonel Samuel J. Ady. Laterhe watched a firin g pla toon from Battery Bgo through a practice a len.

    Aller the demonstration, MG Meyerwalked through the living and eating areasand talked with some or the enlisted me nwho we r e occupying the site.
