NOTIFICATION

Islamabad, the 16th September, 2014

S. R. O. 830 (1)/2014.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2of the Regulation of Mines and Oilfields and Mineral Development(GovernmentControl) Act, 1948 (XXIV of 1948), the Federal Government is pleased to directthat the following amendments shall be made in the Pakistan Onshore Petroleum(Exploration and Production) Rules, 2013, namely:-

(a) In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 80, in sub-rule (3), for the word "rule",the words and figure "rules 34 and" shall be substituted;

(b) after the word "renewed" the words "or applied for" shall be inserted;and

(c) after the full stop at the end the following explanation shall be added,namely:-

"Explanation. -The expression "applied for" used in this sub-ruleinclude the applications to be made or under process under the relevantrules for the extension of lease term subject to a maximum of twenty-five years lease period."
