HAIR IN EYES The space between the tool rest and the grinding wheel or brush should be no more than 1/8 not . This shield should be down. The use of this grinder requires instructors permission. This is the correct spacing for the tool rest. Note the shield is down. The use of this grinder requires instructors permission. The use of this drill press requires instructors permission. These two notches indicate the factory lift points, they are about 8 behind the front tires and 8 in front of the rear tires.These indicate where to put the factory jack and shop hoists pads.Other cars will have similar marks. This is the proper hoist lift point for the front on most Uni-body vehicles. This is the same lift point for the factory jack. This is the proper hoist lift point for the rear on most Uni-body vehicles. This is the same lift point for the factory jack. What is wrong with this picture? There are no jack stands under the vehicle, this will get you removed from the lab indefinitely. Note the jack stands are under the vehicle, supporting the weight by the suspension components or frame. This is a tripping hazard, use common sense to alleviate this problem. Fashion statement or stupidity? If you do not have shoes to wear in the shop you will receive a zero for the day. No one works in the shop with sandals or flip flops. These two notches indicate the factory lift points, they are about 8 behind the front tires and 8 in front of the rear tires.these are used with the factory jack and shop hoists. This slide shows the factory jack at the factory lift point right in front of the rear tire. This is a tripping hazard and must be corrected immediately.
