Stacy Guffey introduced Elenita "Ellen" Landicho, team leader, who introduced the members of the group. The team included: Alicia Panerio, President and General manager of ALSID ENT, a military supplies marketing firm.; Lolita Anahaw an enterpreneur business woman in- volved in child care.; Marilou Salazar, Owner/President of a refrigeration and air conditioning supply company; Violeta Violy and Team leader Ellen Landicho, Presi- dent of Eland Trading Corp., an accredited supplier of government agencies. The team had a great time while in Franklin exploring Highlands and viewing the area waterfalls; enjoying an evening of fellowship at the Rathskeller and shopping at the Gem Museum, which I under- stand had to restock after their visit. It was great to have the team with us in Franklin and hope they enjoy the remainder of their stay in Western North Carolina.

Philippines Friendship Team Visits Franklin Rotary

The Philippine Friendship Team provided todays program.

Stacy Guffey introduced Elenita "Ellen" Landicho, team

leader, who introduced the members of the group.

The team included: Alicia Panerio, President and General

manager of ALSID ENT, a military supplies marketing

firm.; Lolita Anahaw an enterpreneur business woman in-

volved in child care.; Marilou Salazar, Owner/President of a refrigeration and air

conditioning supply company; Violeta Violy and Team leader Ellen Landicho, Presi-

dent of Eland Trading Corp., an accredited supplier of government agencies. The

team had a great time while in Franklin exploring Highlands and viewing the area

This is an invitation to you and your guests to attend the annual District Rotary Foundation Banquet on Saturday, November 8th, 2014, at the Renaissance Hotel, One Thomas Wolfe Plaza, in Asheville. Festivities will begin with a reception at 6:00 p.m. followed with dinner at 6:45 p.m. Please join us for an enjoyable eve-ning of great Rotary fellowship, inspiring mes-sages about the work of the Foundation, and

recognition of the strong involvement of Rotarians and our Rotary clubs in that work. The featured speaker for the evening will be Past Rotary Inter-national Vice President,

Anne Matthews. To show our support for her and for the work of The Rotary Foundation, we hope that you have marked November 8

th on

your calendar, and are already planning to come with a group of Rotarians from your club.

To register for the banquet go to rotary7670.org and do it through DacDb or send your regrets that you cannot attend. It will connect you to the registration form, where you can register your-self and your guest(s), give your dinner prefer-ence, and make payment by credit card (if de-sired). Stop Hunger Now

On Saturday November 1 our club

will be joining other community

volunteers at the First United

Methodist Church on Harrison

Avenue to help put together

30,000 meals. These meals will be used worldwide

for crisis relief and/or school lunches. The training

for assembling the packages will start promptly at

12:45 PM and then the meal packaging will start at

1:00 PM. We need Club members to volunteer for

this community service event. Volunteers are asked

to wear their Rotary shirt at the event. For more

information see President Susie Ledford.
