The Flatmates / 107X 5min web series February 2010 to April 2012 Members: Costas Varkados In February 2010, DigiViews launched 'The Flatmates', the first Greek- speaking web series targeted to the hard-to-reach 17-25 youth demographic. Flatmates is a short-form (5 minute) dramedy series (comic elements derive mainly from character and plot development) about three university students – two girls and a boy – who randomly end up sharing an apartment in the city of Athens. The series explores the interaction of the three main characters, their friends and colleagues, and the ups and downs of living together. The viewers are invited into the student’s “flat” and allowed to follow their daily lives as they experience university life and working in Athens. . The Flatmates project enables audience participation and interaction through the website as well as through social media outlets (Facebook), driving viewers to have a deeper engagement with the content and individual characters, making them feel part of the show. The Flatmates series lasted 4 seasons from Feb 2010 to Mar 2012. 107X 5min episodes produced by DigiViews and distributed exclusively on the Internet from Ant1 WebTV platform, These episodes have generated a cumulative 5,5 million video views Over 17.000 fans at FB page https://goo.gl/vN1j3Z The Flatmates project fully financed and supported by sponsors, including NOKIA, Amstel, P&G, Amita Motion (a Coca Cola 3E product), Forthnet, Ferrero (Kinder Bueno), BSB (clothing) and Vichy (cosmetics).
