Looking back at NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT, the series was cre-ated in 1979 and produced through March 2013 under the direction of Linda O’Bryon, WPBT’s news director at the time, with Paul Kangas as the original anchor. Every weeknight, the Emmy® Award-winning series—co-anchored by journalists Sue Herera and Bill Griffeth—has delivered trusted, credible and unbiased information to help business executives, financial professionals and the general public manage their busi-ness or personal finances. In early November 2019 PBS stations were notified by CNBC that effective late December 2019 the series will cease production — the last NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT program will air Friday, December 27. With this move, WLJT will introduce a fourth hour of primetime programming each Monday through Friday evening. The 5:30 p.m. slot will see programs typically aired weeknights at 10 p.m. — P.
