COURSE CONTENT

Registration is at 8.45am and the course will commence promptly at 9.00am and finish at 2.00pm

Educational Aims and ObjectivesThe main objective of this introductory course is to guide the delegate through the process of digital scanning a basic unit offered by major manufacturers leading the profession through digital dentistry.

The delegate will have the unique opportunity to select the most ideal digital solution to suit their own laboratory working requirements and to gain all relevant product and technical information based on the initial practical hands-on expertise offered by this course.

With this basic theoretical and practical knowledge-base, each delegate will be equipped to make an informed choice to take the ‘First Step to Digital Scanning’.

Anticipated Educational OutcomesDelegates completing this course will be able to consider digitising their daily laboratory work

routine and use a digital manufacturing option to produce restorations in crown and bridge dental technology involving digitally produced frameworks.

The technical schedule, outlining the basic key principles with a unique selection of scanner equipment offers differing scanning software processes which will help the delegate to attain a basic level of technical experience to ensure subsequent patient satisfaction.

Quality Control and Documentary Proof:There will be no formal assessment other than a standard evaluation form which must be completed by each delegate and logged within our quality management system to qualify as verifiable CPD in accordance with GDC guidelines.On successful completion of this introductory course the delegate will receive a signed Argen Digital Certificate.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

WORK GUIDELINES

This introductory digital course will provide a basic knowledge-base of the digital workflow process for scanning a basic unit. Designing options are not available on this course.

The course is suitable for those technicians who want to explore and use the latest advances in digital technology from the key manufacturer

brands leading the profession through digital evolution.

During this introductory digital course every opportunity will be given to the delegate to discuss their digital requirements and expectations.

Delegates are requested to bring to the course one ‘Live’ patient case with one sectioned single prepared die.

1. The working model should be poured in a suitable diestone.

2. The model die should be carefully sectioned ensuring straight cutting lines.

3. Mark the model / die for identification so that no mix up can occur during the course.

4. Trim and ditch the die to clearly define the preparation margin.

5. Do not apply die hardener to the model or the prepared die.

6. Do not apply die spacer to the prepared die.7. Working and Opposing models should

not be mounted onto an articulator. Bite registrations can be included.

8. All ‘Live’ patient cases permitted for design on the course will be manufactured and sent out the following working day.

As an additional upgrade the course will guide the delegate through our manufacturing processes which include selective laser melting, digital precious metal, wax and zirconia materials, also outlining the step-by-step

technical process of how to start using these products offered by Argen Digital by Skillbond.

An overview of the processing steps will be outlined in relation to the digital workflow, including our customer services and technical support available to ensure customer satisfaction to impart user confidence for this state of the art digital service.

During this introductory digital course every opportunity will be given to the delegate to discuss their digital requirements and expectations.
