English Department Work for week 15th–19th June
Hi folks,
Here comes the work for the last week of the course!
The term and, therefore the course, is reaching finally an end. In this strange
situation that we were obliged to live, all the educational community have tried to
do our best so as to make the most of the situation. You’ve been working really
hard so it’s time now to relax a little bit.
Thus, this week you won’t have to send me anything. All the activities are
organised to revise the last two grammar points we were working with: the first
and second conditional. In the first two sessions, you will find revising grammar
activities, and as usual they include an answer key. Finally, the last session
includes several games to revise and practice with conditionals too.
I remind you that a deadline was set up last week: Tuesday 16th June, so any
received writing after that date won’t be marked or considered. Make sure you
send you work before that date. I also remind those who failed the subject in the
second term that you have to send a “boletín de ejercicios de recuperación” in
order to pass the subject, and that you have to do it before that date too. Of
course, if you have any doubt, just let me know and I will be willing to help you.
Finally, I would also like to enjoy this opportunity to tell you that I was very happy
to work with you, especially during the face-to-face period. Next year, I won’t be
at this school so I am very sad because I won’t be able to even say goodbye to
you. Anyway, I hope to find you in other contexts and I would like to tell you that I
wish you all the best for your future. I won’t forget any of you, including the good
and the bad students.
Yours sincerely,
Alicia

1st session
We start by doing some more practice with the second conditional. It will be a good idea to revise the
grammar notes from the previous week in order to remember about form and function. You could also
watch the video again to revise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZfx5oM3BQU).
All the exercises for the 1st session have an answer key at the end of this document, so you have to do
exercises first and then correct yourself.

session We continue practising with the second conditional. We include some exercises contrasting the first
and the second conditional so make sure you understand the difference between both structures
(form and function) before doing them. Finally, there is a multiple choice exercise revising all the
grammar of the course.
All the exercises for the 2nd session have an answer key at the end of this document, so you have to
do exercises first and then correct yourself.
