The Finding...

George was getting bored on the steamboat. He couldn't wait until they arrived in Iraq. Heplopped his head down on the rail of the boat and saw a four leaf clover attached to the side of

the boat. He thought in his mind... I hope this will be something to remember.

They finally arrived and he met up with some of his aunts and uncles. The day he gotthere, his talkative Grandpa Nichols picked them up at the boat dock and then walked to town.

George didn’t like the town, it was a bit dirty.

When in Town, they set up camp. Here, George was asked to go collect things for a firewith Grandpa Nichols. When they went walking, Grandpa Nichols was talking, a lot.

At one point when they were walking, Grandpa Nichols stopped talking. George lookedback to see if he was there and he still was there. He started again to talk about something

George didn't care about, like some ancient legend Tomb of Ur or something.

Finally, Grandpa Nichols stopped talking and he stopped whistling at one point. Georgefound some good twigs for the fire and yelled out ¨Grandpa Nichols! Are these any good?¨ Therewas no answer. George looked behind him and got goosebumps and a cold shiver down his

back. Grandpa Nichols was not there.

It was pandemonium in his world. He was alone in the desert looking for his grandpa. Hestarted to hear a faint ¨Georgey! Help! Com’on! Where am I!” He ran toward the sound but while

he was running he tripped over something and fell into a dark room.

He started to yell “Grandpa! Grandpa Nichols!” Then, a shadowy figure started to inchtoward him. It jumped out and hugged George “Georgey!” It was Grandpa Nichols. “It seems as ifwe have fallen into some Mesopotamian tomb. The Tomb of Ur! We found it, Georgey! If only we

could get out and not join the people below us.”

They started to look around but to no avail. Grandpa Nichols started yelling and said they werenever going to make it out, but George thought different. He started to dig in a wall and got pretty

far until he hit something ... daylight.

George called for Grandpa Nichols and he came. They crawled out and went back totown. They went to town and told everyone about their adventure. While they were in town, astrange man with a gang wanted to know where the tomb was. He paid George and GrandpaNichols a lot of money to show him where it was. They then went back to the US, got veryfamous and even went on tv! He plopped his head down as he did on the steam boat and

thought... He would never forget this.
