uterine corpus that is abnormal in volume, regularity and/or timming.

• Chronic- present for the majority of the last 6 months• Acute – an episode of sufficient severity to require

immediate intervention to prevent further loss• Acute may preset in context of existing chronic AUB• IMB – bleeds that occur between clearly defined

cyclic and predictable menses
