coloured glass effect to a fanlight is very

simple to achieve. Our definitive range of

styles is inspired by the decorative

influences of past ages and includes

classical and traditional floral designs

as well as ‘art nouveau’ and

contemporary images.

Each design is carefully prepared using

high specification, colour-stable polyester

film with built-in UV inhibitors and

natural finish pure lead strip The designs

are equally as effective when applied

to clear or patterned glass.

designs, manufactured using high quality

Spectrum Glass.™The tiles are available

as diamonds and squares in up to four

transparent colour ways as well as the

new opaque neutral colours.

The thinner 2-3mm edges give the tiles

a sharper shape definition so they are

ideal for applying adhesive lead around.

Designers can now incorporate Fusion

Lite into overlay panel designs in the

same way as glass bevels.

the glass - a traditional technique that creates a fern effect of clear and frosted glass

As you would expect, a design using our range of glass jewels is certainly more

exquisite. They are available in five striking colours - amethyst, aquamarine, blue, green

and red as well as clear. Their extra facets create even more stunning light effects and

they work beautifully in designs that incorporate glass bevels and coloured films.

OverviewThe Fanlight designs shown in thisbrochure are constructed using the highest quality overlay products whichhave been used sucessfully in DecorativeGlass applications for many years andhave gained a reputation for quality and reliability.

RTF ‘Traditional Fanlights’ utilise lead profiles and high performance StainedGlass Art Film in a variety of colours and textures.

RBF ‘Bevelled Glass Fanlights’ are constructed using hand made bevelled glass pieces permanently bonded to the window glass, combined with lead profiles and Stained Glass Art Film.

Quality StandardsAll the Fanlights are normally manufactured into insulated glass units tobe installed in modern high performancewindow systems.

The products are manufactured withinthe scope of ISO9001:2000 and conform to the latest European qualityBSEN1279 which guarantees high standards of both thermal insulation and long life.

Design and Colour Options and LimitationsFilm and Lead Colour Options. Lead finishes and Film colours used are suggestions and therefore may bechanged. Swatches are available showing alternative colours.

Bevel Size Limitations. Designs shown in the brochure are based on a Fanlight

size of 520mm wide by 350mm high but usually can be adapted to fitmost other Fanlight sizes. However, glassbevels are standard sizes and for smallerFanlights consideration should be madeof their suitability in an overall design.

Technical PerformanceStained Glass Art Film. These materialsare polyester based and have excellentUV resistance due to the high performance ink systems. They arecolour stable and conform toBSEN1279 requirements.

Lead Profiles. All lead profiles use high performance pressure-sensitive adhesive for permanent application to windows whichis guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years.

Lead Oxidisation. Like any natural product exposed

to the environment, self adhesive leadwill undergo a level of atmospherictransformation. This is normal and occursbecause the lead oxidises to form a naturally protective film on the surface. It will eventually settle down to take onthe ‘weathered lead’ appearance that isadmired in old buildings.

Soldered Joints. Some of the Fanlightsshow the joints soldered. This is to give a more traditional appearance only and does not have any effect on the technical performance. Soldered jointsare only available on Fanlights where natural lead is used, and not where coated lead is used.

Bevel Adhesives. Bevels are permanentlybonded to the window glass using anadhesive system that has been weatherand time tested to conform toASTM-G53-94 standards.

Cleaning and MaintenanceFanlights can be cleaned regularly using water based proprietary glass cleaners. Always avoid the use of any cleaners that may contain solvents or have an

abrasive effect on the surface cleaned.

Photographic and PrintingLimitationsDue to the natureof the printingprocess, coloursin real light conditions mayvary slightly from

those shown in the brochure. Stained

Glass Art Film colour samples are available to verify colours.
