Purpose and Users
• System Awareness and Event Analysis staffs (shared information)– NERC SA & EA – to capture information about events– Regional SA & EA - to capture information about events
within the region; passes through to NERC, and can be seen by other regions
• Compliance staffs (NERC and/or Region) – to track those events of interest to them (each independent of the others)
• Use by NERC will be required; by Regions, it is an option (but encouraged)
Functionality
• Many fields are formatted, but to be filled in by user• Where possible, pull-down “pick lists” from CRATS,
TADS, GADS (will not send information back to CRATS, TADS, GADS)
• Where possible, fields may be automated (e.g., Event TrackingID may be partially filled in with Region and event date information)
• Reporting functions will be built, but there will also be ability to pull data for other “non-defined” reporting (adhoc reporting)
