A M ESSAGE F ROM THE R ECTOR Dear Friends. We are beginning to see some of our summer folks back among us. Summer is always a great time because we do have people spend- ing the summer with us. Of course, the highlight of every summer at Holy Mount is the Christmas in July sale. I know many of you are already bringing in “stuff” that you don’t need anymore. Please, keep cleaning out your storage areas. I even have some things to bring in that I never needed. It is amazing what we can gather over time. Please, put July 18 th on your calendar & plan to help out with the sale that day. We need everyone to help out for a successful day. Remember, most of the money we raise goes to outreach. During July the Brotherhood of St. Andrew will be sponsoring a Quiet Day on July 25 th . It will be led by Brenda Worsham, who is a trained Spiritual Director. A Quiet Day is a time for directed meditation and spiritual growth. I want to recommend this opportunity to you and hope you will save the date. On July 31 st we will be making our annual trip to White Sands for the full moon. We will have a picnic and sledding for the children & the brave adults. Please, mark the date. At present we are blessed to have the Revs. S. Moses and Grace Moses with us. They are both clergy in the Church of South India. The Church of South India was formed when the Angli- cans, Methodists, Presbyterians and Congregationalists came together. Moses will be our preacher on Sunday, June 7 th . They will also be present during the BOSA breakfast to an- swer questions about Christians in India and about their ministry. They will be with us through June 11 th . She works as a profes- sional school counselor at Albuquerque Public Schools. Brenda considers herself to be a Contemplative Companion. Her spiritual approach is through contemplative practices and enjoys companioning others on their inner journeys. We all have an inner life and an outer life. As Jesus teaches, our inner life is the driving force behind our outer life. Join us as we explore the inner life, how it is transformed, and how it builds our life in Christ. The quiet day is sponsored by our local Brotherhood of St. Andrew. It is open to everyone. Lunch will be served. There is no charge to attend this event. However, donations will be taken to offset the cost of lunch and to provide a stipend for Brenda. Wear your comfortable clothes and shoes. Reservations will be required in order to have lunch for you. Watch for further announcements about a signup sheet.

Thank you, once again, to Vicki Conley and Piñon Pottery for the time and patience you give so gener-ously. Partici-pants, last week, enjoyed the fel-lowship and creat-

ing their own flower pots. The money raised will, once again go to St. Anne’s Guild to help with the many different needs they help support. Thank

you, Vicki, for all your hard work!

Dear Friends,

Just to let you know, we packed 364 care packages today. Our total is at 15,702. We will con-tinue as we have, and appreci-ate your continued support. Thanks to Alan McMillan who got us the last 20 milk crates we needed. It was like calling in the cavalry!

We enjoy you all so much, and we are so thankful for all of you.

Thank you so much,

The Fazenbakers

Here I am in my new spring coat...Aren’t I gorgeous. I’ve just been laying around, taking it easy trying to keep an eye on my humans. You will normally find me on one desk or another , just to make sure they know someone is watching. Sometimes they don’t recognize that I’m right there, so I reach out and touch some-one or something, so they know I’m keeping an

eye on them.

Think of me as extra security...Laz

V I S I T O R S F R O M I N D I A Arriving from Chennai, India, Moses and Grace have blessed us with stories and customs of India. What a blessing they have been. In return they have been tour-ing the state of New Mexico with various parishioners as well as attending activities at and around the church. Both Grace and Moses are ordained priests serving in Chen-nai and speak excellent English. Moses blessed Holy Mount by preaching last Sun-day. Urging us all to commit to daily read-ings from the Bible in order to better under-

stand our call as Christians.

After the service, our fifth Sunday potluck gave us all time to visit, many ask-ing questions about the activities Moses and Grace partici-pate in while living in India. What a blessing to get first-hand information about life in India. One of the things they most encourage in their people is education, which will help them most in the long run. Moses and Grace want to encourage anyone wanting to help support a student,

about $50 per month, to contact the church office.

With a packed house at St. Anne’s, Glencoe, the purpose during announce-ments was to honor Nellie Ruth Jones and her 60 years of service to the Altar Guild . We, the listeners, were the ones who were really blessed with her story

of her aunt, who taught her, to her daughters, who will follow in her foot-

steps. Thank you, Nellie Ruth , for all you do for our church.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew hosted their third breakfast on June 1 serving scrambled eggs, sausage biscuits and gravy, salsa, fruit cup, yogurt and fudge chocolate brownies along with all the coffee, orange juice and water a person could drink. Thanks to the generous donations of the past from the congregation of ECLC, BOSA has been able to pay for the new signs on the property of Holy Mount. The group is work-ing towards raising money for two new projects: replacement of the side walk on the north end of the church as well as scraping and re-painting the eaves and wood work on the church and church office. Without your support and encour-agement, these projects can not be completed. The Brotherhood thanks those persons who have participated in their breakfasts and remind everyone that they host the breakfast on the

first Sunday of every month.
