Preparing for Next Sunday The Baptism of the Lord

The first reading tells of the chosen servant of the Lord whom the Lord will raise up to be a light for the nations and bring forth the victory of justice. The second reading reminds us that God shows no partiality, and that everyone who places their faith in Jesus and lives according to his teaching can be saved. In the Gospel, Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River.

Confirmation Save the Date - Spaghetti Fundraisers! Back by popular demand, the annual spaghetti fundraiser will be held on Sunday, January 31, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Pre-sale tickets are $7 from the Confirmation II candidates and $8 at the door.

A petición del público, la recaudación de fondos anual de espagueti se llevará a cabo el Domingo 31 de Enero, de 11:00 AM a 2:00 PM en el Salón Parroquial. OLMC School On Thursday, December 17 the students of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School put on their a n n u a l C h r i s t m a s Program under the direction of our new Music Director, Dylan Ramirez. The program was titled “Unspeakable Joy”. Through a skit and several songs, the student’s explained how our society has gotten away from the true meaning of Christmas. The season is not about the latest technology or the newest clothes. The true gift is our savior, Jesus Christ. The program ended with a blessing from Father Cobos and “Feliz Navidad” as the final song.

Escuela OLMC El Jueves, 17 de D i c i e m b r e l o s estudiantes de la Escuela Nuest ra Señora del Monte Carmelo iniciaron su programa anual de Navidad, bajo la dirección de nuestro nuevo director de M ú s i c a , D y l a n Ramírez. El programa se titula "Alegría Inexplicable". A través de una obra de

teatro y varias canciones, los estudiantes explicaron cómo nuestra sociedad se ha alejado del verdadero significado de la Navidad. La temporada Navideña no significa lo último en tecnología o las nuevas tendencias de la moda. El verdadero regalo es nuestro salvador, Jesucristo. El programa terminó con una bendición del Padre Cobos y con la canción final titulada “Feliz Navidad".
