Ending Gun Violence for a Safer, More Peaceful Nation

Held approximately 10 phone meetings and approximately 5 in-person meetings,

not including events

In our infancy, members of The ENOUGH Campaign (then called WAAR),

were interviewed by CNN's Zoraida Sambolin just two days after the

Newtown massacre.

Defined our mission, purpose and vision in addition to creating brand and logo

Partnered with MomsRising on January 15, 2013 – the day following the

one month anniversary of the Newton massacre – to send 300,000

signatures to the Wal-Mart in Danbury, CT on Newtown Road, urging the

store, who currently sells military-grade assault rifles and high-capacity

magazines, to keep its promise to stop selling assault weapons.

Featured on the Today Show and Huffington Post

The ENOUGH Campaign catapulted into existence following the Sandy

Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT. Based in Stamford

and established by concerned mothers across Fairfield County, we

grew from 14 moms to more than 1300 mission devotees to end gun

violence. Here are some of our activities and accomplishments in our

maiden year.

Created website, www.theENOUGHcampaign.com

Created a public service announcement which included The ENOUGH Campaign

members as well as people connected to the Newtown shooting

Organized several hundred people to bus up to Hartford on February 14,

2013, partnering with another new movement (March

for Change, now a program under CAGV). An

estimated 5,000 people attended the march to end

gun violence.

Members of The ENOUGH Campaign met with

William Tong regarding gun violence and related issues

in Stamford

Attended Gun Violence Task Force legislative

hearings in Hartford

Published 14 email newsletters (by years end)

to a readership of now 700+ with content ranging

from timely news articles and information on gun

violence, relevant current petitions, op-ed articles,

and more

Wrote and called our legislators and campaigned

the public and our supporters to take action as well

Created press releases and social media PR

blitzes for each event

Members of The ENOUGH Campaign Met with

Captain Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police

Department for an informational discussion about guns.

Members of

The ENOUGH

Campaign met

with former

U.S.

Representative

Gabby Giffords

and Mark Kelly,

helping to raise

funds for

Americans for

Responsible

Solutions and

discussed

ending gun

violence on a

national level

through local

community

initiatives as

well as

leveraging

power to halt

the NRA’s

legislative

stronghold.

Wendy Skratt, ENOUGH Campaign

board member, was interviewed by

Mathias Meier, producer of Informe

Especial, a Chilean news show on

Televisión Nacional de Chile about

guns in America.

Held two community informational

seminars (one in Stamford, one in

Westport) run by The ENOUGH

Campaign members about gun

violence in America and what you can

do to make a change. PowerPoint

slide show and discussion followed.

Organized and participated in the

Stamford Vigil of Hope:

Remembering Gun Violence

Victims on December 12, 2013 to

mark the one-year anniversary of

the Newtown massacre. The

ENOUGH Campaign's efforts saw

three local front page or headlining

articles, one which was picked up

nationally, and two media

interviews, one for News12

Connecticut.

The mission of The ENOUGH Campaign is to

protect our families and our country as we

advocate for more public awareness on the

issues of gun violence prevention in America.

Through legislative advocacy and community education, we champion stronger gun laws and

aim to transform public perceptions of gun safety.

¹ Because of an unquantifiable margin of error and possible overlapping, we have estimated our unique supporters to

the best of our ability.

The ENOUGH

Campaign

positioned

itself to be a

strong voice in

the gun

violence

prevention

movement

through social

media,

collecting

approximately

1,300

supporters

using

Facebook and

Twitter. By

year’s end, we

gathered more

than 600

followers on

Facebook and

on Twitter,

with 3200

tweets to date.¹
