scholarship & mentoring opportunities

National Security Education Program/Boren Scholarship

Students who are currently studying a language critical to US national security or have studied a critical language in the past, and who would like to spend the 2014-2015 academic year mastering the language in the country where it is spoken are invited to an information session for the National Security Education Program/David L. Boren scholarship. A list of languages considered critical to US national security, as well as a list of fields of study preferred by the NSEP/Boren program, can be found at http://www.borenawards.org/boren_scholarship/preferences.html.

Law School Mentoring Program

Students interested in pursuing careers in the legal field are invited to participate in the HNBA Mentoring Program. The program works for participants at each step of the ladder to the legal profession: high school students are exposed to information about college; pre-law students learn about the law school admission process and the importance of taking challenging classes, and law students get an inside view of the practice of law with their attorney mentors. For more information, please see http://law.asu.edu/hnba/HNBA/Participate.aspx
