Chronicler Report
Good tidings, Vatavia!
First, hopefully if everything has worked out, you are now holding
in your hand the first edition of the Dragonflyre that YOU have acted as
Printer for! This is a history making moment for not only us in Vatavia but
also for all other groups in the Known World. By taking our newsletter
online, the Barony will be saving almost $500 year!
Second, some may notice that this Report is where Know They
Neighbor would be. KYN is be given some forced vacation time so that it
can be tooled . Hopefully, the retooling will promote the readers of the
Dragonflyre (that’s YOU) to submit stories and or information about their
personas. It will hopefully return at sometime in the future. I want to
thank those who helped KYN in its first few shaky months.
Many Thanks go out to:
Mór Hoistlair
Lord Jóhann Steinarsson
Lord (Friar) Thomas Bacon
Lady Ysabel
Ever In Service,
Fujihara Murasaki

your year be filled with fun and all sorts of good things!

privileged to see Sir Lucien fight and win for Mistress Conna!
Congratulations to them!
Our next event will be on January 28 at St. Patrick Catholic School here in
Wichita. Many thanks to Lady Deidre and Lady Murasaki for being this
event’s Stewards. It should be a lot of fun- invite your friends!

Church, Wichita, Ks
11 members attended: 10 officers/deputies/champions;1 event steward
Planning for the January 28th Mid-Winter event continues. Work
days for the event projects are being scheduled. Exploration Place would
like to arrange regular presentations on a schedule convenient for the
Barony.
Three Vatavian’s proposals have been sent on to national. Three
more individuals’ proposals are at Saker for consideration. BUSH classes
are scheduled through March. People will need to bring their own
supplies for the February class on making duct tape dress dummies.
$87.88 in donations from the Barnes and Noble gift wrapping
were delivered. The 2012 budget will be done once the financial
Domesday is completed. The need to replace and to make new Baronial
regalia was reported. Fund raising options will be considered. Preliminary
plans for new chairs are being researched.
Permission forms for the on-line publication are being obtained,
especially from the officers, to move to electronic publication. This is a
Society level decision. Publication of a new Vatavian Census this year
was discussed. Changes will be required to address electronic publication,
access and security.
Archery practice will resume at Diamond Archery now that the
holidays have passed.
One application has been received for the Arts and Sciences Min-
ister position. Fourth quarter and Domesday reports are due soon. All
officers need to send copies of the report for their office to the Baronage
and Seneschal. It was requested to also send copies to the previous
Seneschal who is working on compiling the Domesday for that office.

The Clothier's Seminar is an annual event that revolves
around the one necessity that we all need, clothes. Come join us for a
day of classes, discussion and camaraderie. It is an excellent time to
show off your finest garb and accessories. Simple clothing, complex
clothing, exotic clothing, it's all welcome! Whether you have never
sewn a piece of garb or have been doing it for years, there's something
for you. It's also the perfect place to learn what your persona would
have worn, and why. Even if you don't sew, it's a great way to find
people who can make garb for you.
