Newly Re-Opened 52nd Street Market

The 52nd St. Marketplace is a new venture in the Village of Wabamun. Located at 5123 52 St, in the heart of the

village, we have 3200 s/ft of space. Part of the space is taken up in business offices and a board room. In these offices

we currently have Countryside Realty occupying 2 spaces, with 2 spaces vacant and available for rent. Anyone can

rent the boardroom which seats 10-12 comfortably around a large table. So convenient to have a food service available

for your meetings in the boardroom too.

On the opposite side of the building we have a coffee bar/kitchen occupied by Jingles Java and is open in the early part

of the day from 8am to 2pm. Along with the coffee bar we have some retail spaces occupied by local artists with their

works on display and for sale on a consignment basis. Sales for the consignment are looked after by staff at the coffee

bar. There is also retail home décor brought in by the market.

We want to be the hot spot to go to downtown, with upbeat atmosphere, nostalgia/vintage décor, and great coffee and

bakery treats. The kitchen is equipped to bake daily, with a small lunch menu. The retail part of the business is on

display each day and then the market opens up to local vendors on Saturdays from 11-2pm. There is space on the

South side of the building for outdoor vendors as well. We are currently seeking garden veggies, plants, artists’ works,

crafters, and other local small business wares. We charge a small fee for a table at the Sat Market and if you wish to

leave your wares at the market we will charge commission on sales we make at the market.

So come on over and check us out, have a coffee and a scone, see what we have to offer. Let us know what your

favorite bakery treat is and we will make it. If you know of any talented artists that are looking for a venue to display

and sell their works please have them come see us. We are also looking for musicians who would like to play for an

hour or two on Saturdays.

We are here for the community and would like to receive feedback from the community on the types of things they

would like to see on display for sale at our market. Let us know how we are doing and what we can do different to

make it work for the community.

52nd St. Marketplace is owned and operated by Joanne Hay and Craig McKinnon, and we have hired two local ladies,

Mary and Janna for the kitchen and we are looking for another part time staff member.
