“Safe Havens” is a documentary about The Salvation Army Anti Human Trafficking Network in Europe.

Made by Tamme de Leur and Oscar Pathuis from MetaStory Institute.Commissioned by The Salvation Army Europe: Jeroen Hoogteijling with Madeleine Sundell, Galina Ketroy and workers with the Salvation Army in Europe.

The Documentary The documentary is a road trip to Moldova Sweden, Romania, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine and England to discover what the Salvation Army is doing in the fight against Trafficking in Human Beings in Europe. We travel with Madeleine Sundell, a Swedish human rights lawyer, and Galina Ketroy, a Moldovan expert on human trafficking. Both are working in anti human trafficking prevention and repatriation projects in Western and Eastern Europe and are very motivated to build a strong European network to fight trafficking together.The Salvation Army helps victims and works in projects to prevent trafficking of people. To fight it, staff and volunteers and others are being trained to be part of a european network against human trafficking.

They are potential victims of trafficking because the work is also illegal, badly paid and working outside the Polish social system.
