ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2010 - 2011Australian Learning and Teaching Council’sLearning and Teaching Academic Standards project

The project’s context is the work completed by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council [ALTC] in the Learning and Teaching Academic Standards Project [LTAS] in 2010-2011. During this period the ALTC appointed fourteen discipline scholars whose task was to lead the development of discipline-specific graduate threshold learning outcomes in the following broad fields of tertiary education:

Architecture and BuildingArts, Social Sciences and HumanitiesBusiness, Management and EconomicsCreative and Performing ArtsEducationEngineering and ICTHealth, Medicine and Veterinary ScienceLawScience

The LTAS project was commissioned by the former Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) in response to the recommendations emanating from the landmark Review of Higher Education Report chaired by Emeritus Professor Denise Bradley in 2008.
