Adventure Travel TodayAt AdventureWomen, we wanteveryone to understand that ourexcursions are adventure travelvacations and not “tours.” Wedefine “adventure travel” as travel in which one activelyparticipates, as opposed to a“tour,” in which one is more or less a passive observer. AdventureWomen designs andorganizes vacations all over theworld for women who want toexperience an active, out of theordinary vacation, and meet new friends. Most of all, we want our trips to be fun! In this spirit, the successful adventure traveler should be a

good-natured realist and have asense of humor! Adventurevacations, by nature, require thatparticipants be self- sufficient, flexible, and able to acceptsituations as they exist, and notjust as they would have preferredor expected them to exist. Theconstraints of scheduled grouptraveling also necessitate thateach of us be understanding ofand sensitive to others. Being ontime is important, andcontributes to the congeniality, success and well-being of bothindividuals and the group!
