    The Cry of the Sword

Luke 22:27-3427) For whetherisgreater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth?isnot he

that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.28) Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.29) And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;30) That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones

judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

    31) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desiredto haveyou, that he may siftyouas wheat:

    32) But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

    33) And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

    34) And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock(G220) shall not crow(G5455) thisday, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me. (Luke 22:54-62)

Mark 14:27-3027) And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me thisnight:

    for it is written,

I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

    28) But after that I am risen,I will go before you into Galilee.

    What happened in Galilee?

    29) But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.30) And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, eveninthis night, before the cock(G220) crow(G5455) twice, thou shalt deny methrice. (Mark 14:66-72)

    G220 alektor (al-ek'-tore)

From aleko (to ward off); a cock or male fowl

    : - cock.

    G5455 phoneo (fo-neh'-o)

From G5456; to emit a sound (animal, human or instrumental); byimplication to address in words or by name, also in imitation

: - call (for), crow, cry.

    G5456 phon (fo-nay')

Probably akin to G5316 through the idea of disclosure; a tone(articulate, bestial or artificial); by implication an address (for

any purpose), saying or language: - noise, sound, voice.

Check the word ward in the dictionary. Nehemiah 13:30 is most likely whoYAHSHUAH is referring to. A ward to the priests. When CHRIST YAHSHUAHspoke this to Peter, HE used a cock (rooster) symbolically stating the priesthoodis defiled. As it was that cocks were not permitted at the temple. The Kenites arethe defilement of the temple. As Peter pondered what YAHSHUAH stated tohim, it is this that he grasped in his mind. Which did cause him to weep. Thethree times Peter was approached were by temple servants. These are wards ofthe priests. The first, a maid of the high priest. CHRIST YAHSHUAH is ourHigh Priest, so this woman should be apparent as to who she represents.Essentially, the crow is a call of acknowledging what transpired. The event tookplace, and in reaction sounded in his mind. In the book of Mark, this crowhappens twice. As YAHSHUAH always likes to say something twice to indicatean importance to the matter.

    More on the wards:(Genesis 40: 2-7)H4929, (Isaiah 21:6)H4931, (Nehemiah 13:29-31)H4931

In connection to Galilee, there is a governor/ruler of the feast(G755) who Ifind very worthy of being this chief person or priest. In the Strong's meaning thenumber three is connected with it. Could this be the three cocks (wards)? If thefire they were burning was the wrong fire, then what have we here?

Luke 22:35,3635) And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and

shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

Matthew 10, Mark 6:8 (save a staff only in Mark)

    36) Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse(G905), let him takeit, and likewise(G3668)hisscrip(G4082):

and he that hath no(G3361) sword, let him sell his garment(G2440), andbuy one(G3162).

The second part of this verse (after the colon) is a mistranslation. There is noStrong's Concordance number for the first sword seen here. The Greek number

G3361 translated as no should actually be not as you'll see in the Greekword meaning. The word sword after should be scrubbed. And the last Greekword (G3162) is a sword. It translates as a machaira. The true meaning of theverse stands more clear when this is corrected. In the side notes of theCompanion Bible, by E.W. Bullinger, indicates the same. It should translate asfollows:

and he that hath not(G3361), let him sell his garment(G2440), and buy asword(G3162).

The meaning of the second part of this verse when corrected focuses back to thefirst part. The colon itself gives way to look back on the first part as it extends onthe meaning. The focus is now on the purse and scrip. What is the meaning ofthe purse and scrip? Let's have a look at the Strong's Number's and see if we candelve into the deeper understanding of what YAHSHUAH is trying to tell us.

    Purse

    G905 bibal-an'-tee-on)

Probably remotely from G906 (as a depository); apouch (for money)

    : - bag, purse.

    G906 allo (bal'-lo)

A primary verb; to throw (in various applications, more or lessviolent or intense)

  • 7/30/2019 The Cry of the Sword

    4/9

: - arise, cast (out), X dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw(down), thrust. Compare G4496.

    Scrip

    G4082 pra (pay'-rah)

Of uncertain affinity; a wallet or leatherpouch for food: - scrip.

A balantion (purse) is something you store money in, like a wallet. A pera(scrip) has the same idea except you store food in it. There is a word betweenthese two that draw them together (likewise). It means that they are similartoward one another. There is a relation, in terms of carnal, one needs money tobuy food. However, erasing the carnal thoughts by hearing the Word(bread/meat) of Our FATHER it is in the opposite order. By eating, FATHERgives us knowledge (gain) and by no means are we to sit on it (increase andmultiply). In Luke 22:35, YAHSHUAH asked them how they fared without these items. Itwould be important to understand what the disciples did when HE sent themwithout. CHRIST YAHSHUAH was teaching something here (Matthew 10,Mark 6 and Luke 10 [the purse in Mark 6:8 is not the same (G2223), it mayshould be translated as girdle, the Greek shows it to be as the same type Johnthe Baptist wore]). Again, not carnal but spiritual. What goes into these two

items? When the disciples were sent out without these items, beforehand,CHRIST YAHSHUAH taught them what they needed to know. HE is the Wordand the Word was with them. The 12 and then the 70 should give us someunderstanding as to who we're talking about.Today, HE left us the apostles as examples toward us. We learn from HIMthrough their actions. Even their mistakes though I'd like to not call them assuch, because YAHSHUAH is teaching - utilizing them. The bread for our

journey is written in this book (scrip scripture). By giving up iniquity(separating ourselves from it) and relying on HIM (HIS Word) for the wisdom

to know the difference. HE cleanses us. The purse in Luke has a contrast in themeaning of balantion as if to disperse iniquity and take in righteousness, andagain disperse righteousness (truth). It is all done out of Love for it is the keyto the heart.

Exodus 25:22) Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: ofevery man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

Again, as corrected...Luke 22:3636) Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse(G905), let him take

    it,and likewise(G3668)hisscrip(G4082):

and he that hath not(G3361), let him sell his garment(G2440), and buy asword(G3162).

For he that hath not, what is it that he doesn't have? YAHSHUAH (FATHERwith us). Without study they don't have HIM. Let him sell his garment... if youdon't have this garment you haven't studied. Why? It is HIS Word that weavesit. It is CHRIST YAHSHUAH'S protection. Without it, you are naked. If onedoesn't know the season, then they are liable to be in confusion. Those that are

lukewarm have an idea what's going on, but just don't quite have the time outfor HIM. There is a reflection seen of this in the sword (G3162 machaira). For now, a closer look at the word garment.

    G2440 imihim-at'-ee-on)

Neuter of a presumed derivative of umi (toputon); a dress

    (inner or outer)

: - apparel, cloke, clothes, garment, raiment, robe, vesture.

    Online Source: http://www.bible-history.com/isbe/D/DRESS/

    3. The Outer Garments; The simlah (Greek himation) signifies an "outergarment"

Visit the site for a better understanding of this outer dress. The Strong'sdefinition seems to point that it's one of the two (inner or outer). The link will

describe this in more detail. The importance with this is that it is an outergarment.

That would make this particular sword(G3162 machaira) not such a goodthing to buy now would it? If we were to possess it, then it's obvious we wouldnot be in possession of this outer garment. So what is this machaira?

    G3162 mcimakh'-ahee-rah)

Probably feminine of a presumed derivative of G3163; a knife, that is, dirk;figuratively war, judicialpunishment

    : - sword.

    G3163 ah (makh'-ay)

From G3164; a battle, that is, (figuratively) controversy

    : - fighting, strive, striving.

    G3164 mcmimakh'-om-ahee)

Middle voice of an apparently primary verb; to war, that is,(figuratively) to quarrel, dispute

    : - fight, strive.

Luke 22:37-4037) For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me,

And he was reckoned(G3049) among the transgressors:

for the things concerning me have an end(G5056).

    G3049 gizmilog-id'-zom-ahee)

Middle voice from G3056; to takeaninventory, that is, estimate (literally orfiguratively): - conclude, (ac-) count (of), + despise, esteem, impute, lay, number, reason, reckon, suppose, think (on).

    G3056 gslog'-os)

From G3004; something said (including the thought); by implication a topic(subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; byextension a computation; specifically (with the article in John) the DivineExpression (that is, Christ): - account, cause, communication, X concerning,

doctrine, fame, X have to do, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, remove, say (-ing), shew, X speaker, speech, talk, thing,+ none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work.

    G3004 leo (leg'-o)

A primary verb; properly to lay forth, that is, (figuratively) relate(in words [usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas G2036 and

  • 7/30/2019 The Cry of the Sword

    7/9

G5346 generally refer to an individual expression or speechrespectively; while G4483 is properly to breaksilence merely, andG2980 means an extended or random harangue]); by implication tomean: - ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say (-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter.

    38) And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords(G3162). And he said untothem, It is enough.

    39) And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and hisdisciples also followed him.

    40) And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter notinto temptation.

If we are to keep the garment then we are not to buy into this machaira(sword). YAHSHUAH'S sword is a Sharp Twoedged Rhomphaia(G4501). It'snever mentioned as a machaira. The mention of the two swords in Luke 22:38have brought me to consider it being utilized by the Kenites. The Kenites havealways manipulated the masses to drive and oppress, dividing and conquering. What we are seeing transpire fulfills the negative part of HIS plan. Therefore theverse holds true:

    Matthew 10:32-34

32)Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess alsobefore my Father which is in heaven.33) But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my

Father which is in heaven.34) Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace,

    but a sword(G3162).

One confessing CHRIST, the other denies HIM. FATHER sets kings to fulfill HISpurpose. The next verse really opens up the answer here. It is a question from

one of the disciples (being a disciple means they are still learning).

Luke 22:49-5349)When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto

him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword(G3162)?

    There's the question.

    8/9

    50) And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his rightear.

This is Peter who would do so. He was quick to action. He didn't

wait for an answer. I think we have made many mistakes withoutconsulting FATHER and waiting on an answer. That's true in our nature.

Here, Peter has cut off the servant of the high priest's ear. We knowwhat this means symbolically. And the spiritual point to this is that it isnot what YAHSHUAH has taught.

    51) And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear,and healed him.

    And the answer.

    52) Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and theelders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, withswords(G3162) and staves?

    53) When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no handsagainst me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

Romans 8:33-3933) Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.34) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen

again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession forus.

    35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress,or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword(G3162)?

    36) As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accountedas sheep for the slaughter.

    37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him thatloved us.

    38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, norprincipalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

    39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate usfrom the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When is it that the 7,000 allow FATHER to speak through them? When Satan ishere defacto...

Revelation 13:1010) He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity:

he that killeth with the sword(G3162) [1]

must be killed with the sword(G3162). [2]

Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

There are two swords(G3162), one that kills by it - and one that dies by it.

In researching, I located the name of the fortress in which John the baptist wasbeheaded. The name... Machaerus, meaning a sword. Is this coincidence? I donot think so.
